Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.....

With all this new snow we had to do some sledding and test out the new snow tube.



And there was no way Colin was going to wait for the snow to be gone before he tested out his new bike from Santa.

White Christmas

What a wonderful and very memorable Christmas we have had thus far. Christmas Eve we headed to Matt and Deborah's house to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family. The first wave of the snowstorm had already passed and Jason had removed 6 inches of snow from the driveway earlier in the morning. We went to the afternoon church service and listened to Karl sing a beautiful duet and Laura sang with the Sunday School. Then we headed over to the Meissner's for a delightful evening of carols, presents, and an amazing Christmas feast! Here are some cute photo ops before the kids got too crazy.



Time for presents!!!



The second wave of the storm was starting and it was getting late so we thought it best to stay overnight. Colin was super excited for the sleep over! Amazingly, the kids fell asleep rather quickly. The next morning Colin awoke to find that Santa had visited and knew to leave his presents at the Meissner house.



After a yummy breakfast, the kids bundled up to play in the snow and test out their new sleds.



Next weekend we head back to N. Dakota for part two of Christmas.

Sunday School Christmas Program

This is Colin's first year in Sunday School and he has greatly enjoyed it especially because he gets a snack (aka candy treat) each week. Recently they had their Christmas Program titled "Starry Night, Noisy Night." It was the christmas story told from the perspective of the stable animals. Colin was a cow. He looked so cute up there with all the other kids. It was a delightful little program. :)

Holidazzle

It was a balmy 26 degrees today so we thought it would be a great night to watch the Holidazzle parade. We quickly called up the Meissner family who fortunately were also able to come with us. After some Chinese take out and yummy peanut blossoms (thanks Deborah) we bundled up the kids and headed downtown. Well, it turns out that hundreds (probably thousands) of other Minnesotans also thought that tonight would be a great night to see the parade. Nicollet Ave was lined with people but the kids were still able to get some good looks at the beautiful floats.

Pump it Up

This afternoon we celebrated Laura, Karl, and Colin's birthdays at Pump it Up. It was a blast! Both the kids and the adults had a ton of fun in the 6 different inflatable jumpers/slides. Both boys were worn out and fell asleep within minutes on the short car ride home.
