Summer Softball

It has been a cool, wet Spring thus far but last week we had gorgeous weather for our first Rookie softball game we could attend of the season. We love being outside watching Jason play ball and cheering on our favorite team, The Rookies!" I was a bit nervous this time as I had to watch 3(!) little boys but they were awesome. The team even pulled off 2 victories with Jason crushing the ball with 2 home runs! We are his biggest fans! :) Yay, Daddy!

Kidney Update

Awesome news--Adam's right kidney is working great! As many of you may remember they discovered cysts on the left kidney during pregnancy. I had monthly level 2 ultrasounds to monitor the development of the right kidney and everything seemed fine. Yesterday, Adam had to go through a battery of tests involving IVs, catheters, X-rays and he was awesome. He even slept through the long 50 minute test. The results show that the left kidney involuted or basically disappeared which can take up to 2 years but happened very quickly for Adam. Yay! The right kidney shows no issues with reflux or obstruction though is a bit enlarged which is to be expected as it is doing the work of 2 kidneys. We will have an ultrasound at 3 months as follow up but otherwise things are looking perfect.

Lil' Hoopster

Colin has really been loving basketball and loves to see how many baskets he can get in a row. He will shoot for an hour or more whether Jason is shooting with him or just alone. He started out getting four in a row that led to 8, 12, and his current record is 40!!! Jason started counting with him at 7 so it is legit. The kid is a stud! He hasn't gotten close to that record again but he is persistent and loves the challenge so I have no doubt he gets there again this summer. It is so cute to see him get so excited and really heave the ball in the air. Jason reassures me that at this age it is not important to teach him correct technique so I think it is great fun to watch him. Awesome job, Colin!

One Month Update

Yep, the bear is back as Adam is already a month old today! He is another perfect little Elliott baby boy. He is quite mellow and loves all the attention from his older brothers (or at least tolerates the "brother smothers"). We love all of his coos and smiles. Sleep is going quite well considering Adam is only a month old doing at least one stretch of 4 hours consistently at night. We are surviving, I mean, loving our world of boy craziness.

Jenn and Mike's Reception

This past weekend we were in Detroit Lakes to celebrate the marriage of Jason's second cousin, Jennifer, to Mike. It was a fabulous time with amazing food, music, and social time with family. Colin and Justin especially enjoyed the table of various candy and had themselves a candy supper. "I'll eat healthy tomorrow," said Colin. Adam was again amazing and slept the entire time in his car seat even with all the commotion going on around him. Colin and Justin loved staying at the hotel as they got to go swimming. They especially loved getting to sleep together in the same bed and even staying up late to watch sports with Daddy.
