Cuteness

3 month update

The biggest events this month came in the past week as Mommy went back to work and Justin started daycare. Mommy was a bit nervous about how the transition would go, and we are happy to report that the first week went great. Justin is taking naps like a pro for his teachers, and they are repeatedly commenting on what a cute and good baby he is and that he never cries. The other big event is that he is now taking a pacifier. We tried several kinds and multiple times at home and he would never keep one in his mouth. Well, at daycare they give him a pacifier, put him in a swing, and he goes right to sleep for naps. We tried it at home and it's true. Yea, for pacifiers!

At 3 months, Justin is a drool monkey just like his brother was. The coos and baby babble are frequent and so adorable. Nighttime sleep was a bit of a challenge this past month but is coming together. We still give him one feeding during the night and he may wake a few other times but goes right back to sleep thanks to that handy pacifier. He is such a good baby and we couldn't be more blessed.

Valentine's Day

It was a low key Valentine's Day this year. Jason and I will be going to AZ for a weekend of golf with friends the end of February. We decided that would be our romantic get away so opted to celebrate Valentine's Day with our boys. We had a red theme meal with pepperoni pizza, jello, strawberries, and heart sugar cookies. We thought it turned out quite cute, and I'm thinking this might have to be a lasting tradition. :)

MN Zoo

Last week we got to enjoy some of this warmer weather and took a trip to the MN Zoo. Colin loved seeing all the animals and fun exhibits while Justin enjoyed a nice long stroller ride. The MN Zoo has beautiful walking trails and both indoor and outdoor areas great for Winter and Summer visits. We were there all afternoon and still only saw a small portion of the zoo. There will be plenty more visits and opportunities to explore thanks to our membership from Grandma and Grandpa L.

Tubing

Sledding is fun, but tubing is EXTREME FUN. We went tubing at Elm Creek Park Reserve with Matt, Deborah, Brian, Jennifer and kids Laura, Karl, and Damon. It was a blast, Colin had a perma-grin the first few times down and after every run would say "let's do it again!"
Colin and I went down the first few runs together while Angie tended to Justin in the warming house. Here is a video of us heading down the hill as Colin shows Mommy how fun it is on her first trip.
