The Wildcats

Kyle wanted to try something other than soccer this year, so we signed him up for baseball. Wow, talk about a time consuming sport! I loved it, and I hated it all at the same time. It was fun to watch Kyle try something new, and to see how much he enjoyed it. On the other hand, it was a nightmare trying to keep Damon and Valerie from disrupting everyone and making a huge scene at every game. Kyle really enjyed batting and running the bases, but got pretty bored in the outfield. We found him yawning a couple times. :)

Kyle did pretty good in baseball. For having never played before, he was one of the best players on the team so we were really proud of him.

Fireballs

This year was Damon's first year playing soccer. His team was the Fireballs. I'm not really sure why the team wasn't called The Lauritzens, since there were 4 of them on the team! Damon was on the same team as cousins Blake, Trever, and Nixon. Damon really loves soccer and definitely wants to play again next year. He did really well!

At the end of the season we had a team dinner where the kids all got their trophies. I'm starting to wonder if the trophy was the main reason Damon wanted to play soccer. It was all he could talk about!

He even made me take a picture of his teddy bear posing with his trophy :)

Thanksgiving in Colorado

We got to spend Thanksgiving week in Colorado this year. We had never been there before and it was a beautiful place to visit. We stayed at my brother Erik's house and here are some of the things we did while we were there:

Did everything we could to keep Valerie happy on the plane, including torturing my poor nephew Caleb


Played games with our cousins

Fell asleep on daddy's shoulders while going for a walk. She was exhausted from throwing a minimum of 25 tantrums a day (no joke) It's a good thing she's so darn cute.

Went for a walk with our cousins. It was COLD!!

Attended the baptism of my sweet niece Meagan!

Celebrated Damon's 5th birthday!
