What Anna Kate has been up to this past month:
Can identify things that are white, pink and purple but everything else is blue.
Has only climbed out of her crib once - I think it scared her pretty bad.
Wants Mommy to put her to bed and Daddy to get her up in the morning. (She's already figured out who is the night-owl and who is the early bird!)
Sits in the same spot every night for family prayers - on the three on her hop-scotch rug.
Loves to say, "Amen!" and throw her arms open while saying it.
If anyone gets hurt she says, "I'm sorry" over and over and over.
Makes everything into a slide.
Everyday she asks for Daddy and I tell her he went to work. She then proceeds to say, "Outside, cold, car, drive, beep-beep."
Likes to throw books into her crib before naps and bedtime.
At every meal she tries to get us to feed her at her little table and chairs in the kitchen instead of her booster seat. She goes and sits in the chair and says, "Anna Kate's seat."
Labels everything. "That's Mommy's water" "That's Daddy's paper"
Has a banana every morning for breakfast and likes it when we don't cut it into chunks.
Is really into being happy and then sad and then happy again.
Fake cries and fake laughs.
Knows where her neck, elbow, chin and eyebrows are.
Loves to sing her ABC's. Sometimes she forgets "HIJK" and goes right to "LMNOP."
Will sometimes shake just her right arm when music comes on.
Loves to play outside, even in the cold.
Says, "No" when she means yes and then starts to nod her head.
Tries to put on any shoes she can find.
Won't sit in the front part of a grocery cart but will sit in the back.
Tells us "NO!"
Likes to take pictures and then look at them on the camera.
Pretends to sleep for fun.
Says, "Peek-a-boo, I see you!"
One time Anna Kate and I "hid" from Mike when he got home from work and then we said, "Boo!" Now when she hears the garage door opening she says, "Daddy, hide!" and covers her eyes.
Throws things away in the garbage can... mostly trash.
Loves to sit at the piano and sing and play... so cute!
We have letters L, O,V, and E out right now and I have been pointing to them and saying L-O-V-E-love. Anna Kate points to them and says, "ABCD-love!" So close.
Moves our heads for us and says, "No" or "Yes."
Runs everywhere!
Gets her feelings hurt when we tell her, "Don't touch."
Says, "No thank you, no thank you, no thank you" when she doesn't want something.
Applesauce is probably her favorite food. She requests it all the time.
Pretends to eat food by taking fake bites and says, "Mmm, that's yummy."
Loves to watch "Barney" and gets SO excited when the beginning music comes on. She also loves the "I Love You" song and will run and find me to give me a hug and kiss.
Likes to read books and fills in the missing words when we pause.
Will go into her room and "read" books on her own.
Sings in her crib.
Can blow bubbles.
Likes to help dress herself and pick out clothes.
Hides in any cabinet she can fit into.
Wears size 5 shoes, size 4 diapers.
Wears 18-24 months tops but the 18-24 months pants are too long - she has short legs like her Mommy.
Is very sweet and getting smarter everyday!
Sometimes baby gets a ride (and her eyes poked out)! 
Her favorite blanket and kitty got pushed around Friday morning.
Anna Kate kept trying and trying to get into the car and she finally figured out how to do it. Looks pretty comfortable?!? I made the mistake of pushing her around with her in it like that... she didn't want to get out!
