21 Months Old

Isaac at 21 months:

• "No" is his favorite word! He says it as an answer to every question.
• Nods his head to say "yes."
• Loves to play with bowls and cups.
• Also likes to clank the lids to pots and pans.
• Saying more and more words and will try words when we ask him to.
• Says "butterfly" with the biggest smile and it is SO cute!
• Says and signs "all done."
• He loves making animal sounds (cow, cat, dog, duck, bird, sheep, frog, fish)
• Can identify stars, circles and hearts.
• Can identify letters "I" and "O" and finds them in books we read.
• Still loving to read books. Has, "Moo, Baa, La La La" memorized.
• Seems to be doing well in the nursery at church. 
• He can be kind of aggressive. He pulls Anna Kate's hair and pushes her. He will also swat at our faces when he gets angry. He has had to sit in time-out in his crib quite a few times.
• He makes a "tss" sound when he's intentionally being mean.
• Whines when he needs help with a toy or if he wants something but if I wait long enough he will stop and say "please."
• Likes to wear Anna Kate's headbands and princess slippers.
• Loves to play with trains and cars.
• Drinks up the spinach and strawberry smoothies I make for him.
• Has become a picky eater... ugh! Spits out everything. Between that and his allergies, I don't know what to feed him!
• Has some OCD tendencies... I'm a little worried. Hopefully it's just a phase!
• Closes doors all the time
• If he finds clothes on the ground he puts them in the hamper
• Says "uh-oh" over and over and points at things if they aren't where they are suppose to be.
• Grandma was sitting in the stool next to him and she kept putting her food on his stool, not on purpose, just out of habit. He kept saying, "uh-oh" until she would move it.
• If something is sticking out of a drawer he will open the drawer and push it in and then close the drawer again.
• He wants all his bumps and owies kissed.
• Throws the best kisses with the best sound effect!
• Randomly gives Anna Kate big hugs. 
• Calls Anna Kate "Kit-Kate" and calls himself "I-yi."
• Loves to carry around a blanket. (He likes to be just like Anna Kate!)
