new products coming!

Scentsy has some exciting products coming!  I just wanted to highlight a few of the up and coming additions, for those who might not be on Facebook and are not a part of my customers page where I post information.  (and I know there are a few!)

A new line of scented cards.  There will be a disk inside the card that is scented.  You will be able to track birthdays for an entire year and the cards will be sent out automatically to your family and friends.  You can choose the scent and the message.  Very cool!

Velata - a new line of warmers for chocolate fondue!  I believe the warmers are bigger than the picture below, but it's the general idea.  I get my own kit on May 1st, if anyone wants to come over and try it out!  I'm REALLY excited for this!

Layers by Scentsy - finally a bath / laundry line!  Lotion, shower gel, body butter, disks for your washing machine and dryer!  Woohoo! So excited for this!

I finally went to Blue Lemon today for lunch with one of my closest friends.  It was delish!  I definitely am going to be trying that one again.  I had the pear salad with a hummus side dish.   My girls had mac n cheese (I think it was a garlic / mac n cheese) with fruit and yogurt drizzled on it.   And they got shamrock sugar cookies for dessert, and took 2 home for the boys.  Mmmm.  Anyone up for lunch?  I want to try more yummy food from there!

Logan turns 7!

Logan is growing up! 

This year, instead of doing a birthday party at home like we always do, we decided to go somewhere else.  The kids have been to several parties at a location and they always rave how much fun it is and the parents rave at how easy it is!  So we decided to jump on the bandwagon.  Logan and I sat down one day and scoured the internet for all the different ideas of places we could go and he finally settled on Classic Fun Center. 

Of course I turned to a couple of good friends for their expertise, Steph (http://www.magandastudios.com/) being one of them!   She made this adorable Spongebob invites which I was able to print up on glossy postcards.   We hand delivered them to all of his friends a week before his party.

The next good friend I know I can count on to create super cute cakes / cupcakes is my friend Tiffany (website to be announced soon!)  She has such a knack and does adorable stuff.  I told her I wanted a Spongebob cake and cupcakes and she did an awesome job.  The cake was a hit!

What the Teacher Wants BLOG

Once in a while I come across a real GEM of  a website, and tonight happens to be that night.  I haven't looked through it a ton yet, but from what I can tell, there are some really CUTE things on this website.  I'm thinking of my friend who's daughter is struggling with reading, or my cousin who is homeschooling her boys, or Carli's preschool class that is at my house this Thursday, and my friend that put me to shame by coming up with the CUTEST way to teach the kids how to count last week.  So, if anyone wants to check it out, this is the blog:

CA - last day

Our last day in CA was spent in Sacramento at our annual Scentsy Spring Sprint.  I usually attend the one here in SLC but since we were going to be in CA, we went to the one there, which was great because I was able to spend some time with some of my team members there.  I have a few directors there and a large portion of my group lives there. 

 Scentsy has fondue pots that will be coming out soon, called Velata.  I will be getting one on May 1st and really am looking forward to it.  I can't wait to just pull it out whenever I want and melt some chocolate and dip away.  I think my kids will love it.  These are some samples of what they might look like.

 Many of the Sprints Sprints were priveldged to be graced by the presence of Scentsy's owners, Orville and Heidi.  They are so incredibly inspiring, it was great to see them.  The man on the right is Orville's brother, Chuck, who is also a big part of Scentsy.

 I was one of only 2 people who stood up at Spring Sprint for being a newly promoted Superstar Director (Scentsy's highest rank).  There are only 147 Superstar Directors out of almost 200,000 consultants.  I still pinch myself everyday to see if it's real, that I am a Superstar! 

Scentsy put out a yearbook and I found this pic of me and some of my team members in it from our last convention!  So fun!

 While Brian and I were at Spring Sprint, my awesome parents and aunt, uncle and cousin were watching our kids.  I guess Carli and Elsie were cuddling on the couch, though to me, it looks like Carli is smothering Elsie! :)

CA- day 2

We only met up with 1 set of friends from Cupertino where I was raised, due to lack of time.  But Michelle (my childhood bff) and her family met us in Vacaville for dinner at the Olive Garden.  It was great to see them and we were grateful they drove out to hang with us!   (don't know what is up with Carli's facials!)  Carli and Mikayla (Michelle's daughter)

On the day we went to Fairytale Land, we told the kids we could possibly go to the Jelly Belly factory which of course the boys were all over.  We didn't go but we found a Jelly Belly store so we all went there instead.  A decent replacement and cheaper than the factory, I'm sure!



CA- Day 1

Carli has a bff named Elsie.  She is our cousin and she used to live in SLC near us but moved to San Diego.  We decided to all meet up in CA so that Elsie and Carli could play for a few days.  It was a super fun time! 

My Aunt Linda of course is amazing and had fun crafts for the kids to do while we were there. 

Sometime in the first day or 2 that we were there (it's all a blur), we all took the kids to Fairytale Land.  It was a fun park with things from the various fairy tales / stories.  The kids all had a great time!

 Carli always heard Elsie calling Aunt Linda, "Grandma" so that's what she started calling her too.  As well as Uncle Chuck was "Grandpa."
