NOTD: Nubar Strawberry Punch

How I wish I could rock sheers, but it's not really happening. They has very pretty shimmer though, so I still love it.

NOTD: L.A. Colors Antique Rose

I know I wore this recently, but it's just such a nice, non-offensive polish to wear to work.

NOTD: Nubar Brass

I wouldn't call this color brass. It seems more like a shimmery, reddish brown to me. Still pretty nice though. The picture is three coats.

NOTD: OPI DS Jewel

Usually I love the OPI Designer Series polishes. A lot of them are holos and they generally have great coverage and wear well. This one is sort of lame and sheer. I had to use 4 coats to give coverage. The lovely Asami told me that hers were sheer too, and that it looked nice layered over black, so I'm going to try that.

NOTD: GOSH Chocaholic

Love this name of this polish! It does look exactly like a layer of chocolate on the nails lol! I used three coats to get opaque coverage.

NOTD: Nubar Orange Crème + Nfu-Oh #58

Wow, this almost turned into a major disaster. When I applied the first layer of the Nfu-Oh over the orange creme; it turned into a disgusting orangy brown poopy color. I was horrified and very tempted to grab the polish remover. Then I realized that I was way too lazy to redo my manicures, and I just did a couple more coats of the Nfu-Oh instead. That turned it into a more rusty brown manicure and a minor disaster instead of a major one. I'm not having much luck getting the green aspect of the flakies to show, but the bottom photo does show them a bit.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Chestnut + Konad m65

OMG, sorry for the crappy application. It's not the polish; it's me. The polish is amazing. Unfortunately I was really hungry and the food at dinner was way too good, resulting in me eating WAY too much. It actually made me feel a little sick. Not really the best way to get a good manicure, and certainly not the way to Konad! I also think I need to file my Konad stamper a bit. It's not transferring the images well :( I used China Glaze Admire for the stamp.

NOTD: OPI Royal Rajah Ruby

Wow, this is a gorgeous polish. It's a deep warm brown with red shimmer. It's incredibly shiny as well. Love it!

NOTD: L.A. Colors Antique Rose

Ummm, Rose? I guess it's so Antique that it's brown than rose... It's a pretty nice shimmery light brown though. Application was a little tricky, but I'm happy with the result after 3 coats.

NOTD: OPI Sand in My Suit (again)

I had to do a serious work related thing, so I figured I better tone it down a bit. I cut my nails down a bit, and applied Sand in My Suit which I LOVE. I think it's my favorite neutral polish. So pigmented, lovely subtle shimmer, and very work safe.

NOTD: China Glaze Prize Winning Mare

One of my absolute favorite fall polishes. This goes so well with almost all my fall clothes, and it's subtle enough to wear to work. It wears quite well too.

NOTD: Nubar Unpredictable Taupe

Hmmm, this one is difficult to photograph. I guess it's because of the frosty/metallic finish. It's gorgeous on the nails though and highly pigmented. I'm wearing one coat of polish in the picture. I bet it would work wonderfully for Konad too!

NOTD: OPI Sand in My Suit

Wow, I really didn't expect to love this, but I do! It's absolutely gorgeous. Great application, fantastic pigmentation, and lovely, lovely, shimmer. I might even need to buy a backup!

NOTD: Nails Inc Jermyn Street

Another beautiful polish from Hanna. This one is a taupe creme. Very nice! My nails are in bad shape at the moment. I've got breakage and peeling, so I'll probably have to cut them soon.

NOTD: Introducing Rusty

Yes, you really are seeing this. I'm wearing my first franken polish: Rusty. Rusty is made of Max Factor clear polish and a loose mineral eyeshadow. Application was surprisingly good. It has a jelly quality to it, and it dries quite fast. I have to admit that I sort of love it. The picture is three coats.

NOTD: Sinful #145 Coco Diamond

Coco Diamond is a lovely pinkish brown with gorgeous glass flecked shimmer. The effect is very similar to the China Glaze Summer Days polishes. If you're looking for a more neutral polish with the same finish then you'll love this. Application was decent. The picture is three coats.

NOTD: China Glaze Spin Me Round

Well. When saving pictures of this, I realized that I'd already worn AND photographed it. Oh well, you can't wear poop brown holos too often! It's a nice polish too. Good application and nice scattered holo. I'm posting two pictures since both suck.

NOTD: OPI Charmed by a Snake

I'm not very good at describing colors, and this one is a tough one. I guess it's a medium poop brown (or maybe diarrhea brown is more accurate?) with gold shimmer. I know that doesn't sound appealing, but it's actually really pretty and very pigmented. The picture is two coats. I'm not sure it works with my skintone, but I have never let that stop me! The brush was all wonky with stray hairs sticking out everywhere. Boooo OPI!


P.S. The acetone remover is still missing, so really, this manicure is a combination of the Nubar from yesterday that I couldn't get off completely and the OPI....

NOTD: Sally Hansen Nail Prism in Amber Ruby

Hmmm. This is strange. The pictures of this polish seem to only show the ruby version, while I see the brown version when looking at my nails just now. You can sort of see a bit of the brown if you look at the bottle. Duochromes - tricksy creatures! I quite like this polish. After the satan polish fiasco I wanted to wear a Sally Hansen that I knew I'd like. The nail prisms have never disappointed. This one applied smoothly and was opaque in 3 coats.

NOTD: Orly Take Him To The Cleaners

I don't own a lot of Orly polishes.


Yarly. I guess they just seem kind of boring to me. I got this one because I really like dark shimmering browns at the moment. The red shimmer in this polish is gorgeous! Application was pretty good, but it dries slowly. I managed to smudge it while playing SIMS 2 :( I'm still going to keep it on and maybe do some Konading tomorrow.
