NOTD: Nfu-Oh #173 + Sinful #220 Green Ocean

My Nfu-Oh cremes seem to have seperated, and I can really shake the white color back into the colored polish :( Application is pretty poor too. I don't like the brush shape. I bought these right when Nfu-Oh introduced the creme series. Hopefully they have improved by now.

I decided to spice the manicure up with Sinful Green Ocean which is a more crappy version of the Nfu-Oh flakies:

NOTD: Nubar Hot Lime Green

A lot of you that commented on the Sigma post seemed to like this polish, so here is the full size pic:


Hot Lime Green is pretty sheer. I had to use four coats. I got a couple of comments at work. Most of my colleagues did not like it :(

NOTD: Maybelline Colorama #22 Jelly Bean

I think this was one of the more popular Coloramas (do they still make them). I know I love it. It has some absolutely amazing shimmer that is very difficult to photograph. If you do find it; I recommend you grab it immediately!

NOTD: Nfu-Oh #87

I think the Nfu-Oh #80-90 are quite sheer. This one is pretty sheer, I needed 4 coats to get nice coverage. The shimmer in this is so pretty.

NOTD: Kleancolor #146 Real Garnet + Response #40 w/ Maybelline Colorama #24 Gold Wash

Phew, that title is a mouthful. So is this mani and I can't believe I'm going to leave the house wearing it lol. The green applied very sheerly and unevenly which is why I added the Colorama top coat. The red was a pretty standard red creme that needed three coats.

NOTD: China Glaze Entourage (with and without Nubar "FOR MEN" topcoat)

Something about this color just isn't working for me. I think it might be the shade of green, or maybe it's just the time of year. I took three coats to get good coverage, but application was pretty painless.

NOTD: Petites 126 Lime Freeze

Hmmm, I think this would look better over a white base. Sheer green looks a little funny on me. A collegue asked if my nails were sick....

NOTD: Nubar Reef Green - long time no see!

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I've been having some medical issues :( I'm doing much better now though I might not be back 100% for a while.

Anyway, after not wearing nail polish for 3 months; I really wanted some color! I grabbed a bottle of Nubar Reef Green which is a lovely, frost summer green. Gorgeous! I realize my nails aren't in the best condition since I haven't really been treating them well, but at least they aren't yellow anymore!

NOTD: needme #16

This is the gorgeous nail polish that Yumeko sent me! I wish I could do it justice. My nails are pretty yellow right now, and the picture doesn't really show the green glass flecks well, but I assure you it's lovely. I can't find the name on it on the bottle (it only has a number). I believe the brand is called "needme".

NOTD: Urban Decay Cult

Oh my, why doesn't Urban Decay make nail polish anymore? This one is SO gorgeous. It was given to me by a very nice Finnish lady (thanks Hanna), and it's the most lovely glass flecked golden green!

NOTD: Rimmel Camouflage

Another polish from Karianne's amazing package. This one is a gorgeous green shimmer. I thought the brush was amazing. The shape was just perfect for applying. The pigmentation and formula were great too. I apologize for smudging it. I know it looks crappy, but I'm too lazy to redo it!

NOTD: Sinful #220 Green Ocean over Sally Hansen Pink Pearl + Konad c06 & c02

Oh my, this manicure just continues to piss me off :(

I wanted to wear Zoya Lily, but I couldn't open it. The boy friend is not home, and he usually opens stubborn nail polish bottles lol.

Then I decided on Sally (Satan) Hansen Nail Prism in Pink Pearl. After about 3 coats I realized that is was streaky and sheer. Hmmm. Flakies make things better, I thought. I picked up Sinful Green Ocean which looks gorgeous in the bottle. Unfortunately Sinful flakies aren't nearly as good as Nfu-Ohs. The Sinfuls are much less dense, the flakes vary greatly in size, and they tend to leave the surface of the nail very rough. I did two coats of the Sinful, and I actually thought it looked pretty good. Until I photographed it:

After I got home from work, I decided to test out my new Konad Coraline kit. I used the special Konad polish in Violet Pearl (at least that's what I think it is; the konad polishes don't have the names printed on them).


I used c06 for the french tip and c02 for the heart. The french tip was much easier to work with than expected. I'll definitely be using that plate more.

NOTD: China Glaze L8R G8R

I don't think there is a single polish from the OMG collection that I don't love. This collection was in my not very humble opinion the best collection since... I dunno... 1879 or something like that. It's simply fabulous. I love a smooth, bright holo and the OMGs are just that. L8R G8R is an amazing green holo. It took three coats to look good, but then it does not look good... it looks AWESOME. Behold the power of the holo:


I did my pedi today. I live in a cold climate so my feet are hidden most of the year (believe me, that's a good thing). I used SpaRitual She's a River and it totally looked like my Zombie Pearl franken! No pictures cause my feet are hideous.

NOTD: Nubar Cotton Candy

The Sweet Nothings collection might be my favorite Nubar collection of all time. The colors are so unique. I'm just totally in love with the glitter in these polishes. Cotton Candy is a blueish green with yellow glitter. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it's crazy beautiful. The polishes from this collection are all a little sheer, so if you don't want to be able to see your nail through the polish, I'd recommend layering them over an opaque color. My picture is three coats of Cotton Candy, and even the boy friend commented on how pretty it looked!

NOTD: China Glaze Passion in the Pacific

It's also starting to feel like summer with all these bright colors! Today's NOTD is from China Glaze's Fiji Fling Collection. It's a lovely shimmery turquoise shimmer. It took three coats to get good coverage.

In other news, I think it's about time for another claw cutting. I really wanted to try and grow my nails out a bit, but a few of them start to flare when they get long, and I dislike that look.

NOTD: Misa The Grass is Greener on my Side

oh my god, it happened again. I used a Misa polish, and it was unbelievable amazing. This time it's The Grass is Greener on my Side, and it really is, because this polish is TEH SHITZ! It's a little on the thick side, but application was good. The picture is two coats. It's a shimmery neon, so it dries matte, and it looks so gorgeous. I think if Misa was the only nail polish company in the world, I'd be sort of fine with that.


I can't believe how much I love this...

NOTD: Nfu-Oh #54 over L.A. Girl Flare Tropical

L.A. Girl Flare Tropical is a pretty nice green creme with a hint of blue. The brush wasn't easy to work with, but I think the result is worth it.

I thought it looked a little boring by itself, so I added two layers of Nfu-Oh #54. As usual the pictures do not do the Nfu-Oh flakies justice. It looks amazing and 3D in real life.

NOTD: China Glaze Wagon Trail

This is one of the fall colors that all the bloggers loved. It looked great in pictures so I bought it, but didn't wear in. I guess I was scared of how dark it looked in the bottle. It really is very dark in dim light, but in bright light or sunshine it comes alive with gorgeous golden green shimmer. Very pretty. Application was really good. It was thick, but applied very smoothly. This is 2 coats:

NOTD: Nfu-Oh #125 - Seriously Amazing

I'm in love and his name is Nfu-Oh #125. This polish is amazing. Absolutely seriously amazing. It's a beautiful olive green shimmer. Drying time and application were great. I wore Nfu-Oh #124 a couple of weeks ago, and though it is beautiful; I prefer #125 by far.

Now for the NOTD. Another beautiful Nfu-Oh polish just to show that they do "normal" polish as well, not just holos and flakies. #124 is a forest green with slightly lighter shimmer. Gorgeous Christmas polish!
