We've been enjoying our off-track time the last two weeks. Mostly we've stayed in our pajamas all day, taken naps, cuddled, and watched lots of TV (yeah, I'm a good mom!).
We've started doing a little potty training. Mimi is more excited about reading stories on the potty than actually using it, but at least she's willing to sit on it (which is more than Scooter was willing to do at this stage of his training).
We've won gold medals at gymnastics. The kids loved all the different "events" involved there the past two weeks. We've also loved watching the Olympics this whole time. Scooter got really into the ice skating and was pretending to do it the other day. We kept asking him to get out of the way so everyone could see the TV, his reply was, "well, maybe everyone wants to watch me skate instead." And he was right, he was much better and much cuter!
My dad made me this coat shelf for my birthday and sneaked in one day, while we were gone, to hang it up. It has made a BIG difference with our snow clothes clutter.
And my mom, dad, and sisters decided to do something about our large blank wall, so last family home evening they came and put this together. I love it and am just glad I didn't have to do it alone, because I have NO decorator genes.We've also had many many play dates and enjoyed playing with new and old friends (and I enjoyed chatting with other moms).
Two weeks down, one more to go. Three weeks goes by so quickly, and I'm so glad I have two fun little kids to spend the time with.
