Wow!  I did it!  I completely caught up on my blog.  Time for a victory dance!!!!!

The Big Reveal

We have been planning a Disney trip for months with my parents.  The kids have been saving all their pennies for a future trip to Disney, but they did not know it would be coming so soon.  We finally decided to tell them about it on Christmas day.  My mom took the kids on a treasure hunt throughout the house to find their gifts from Santa.  Every gift had something to do with Disneyland.  They knew we were going on a trip, but they had to try and guess where.  Even the obvious gifts didn't help.  They really needed us to spell it out.  When Scooter realized where we were going he was just in shock, but Mimi did not react at all the way we expected her too!
We are so excited to go on this trip with my family.  It's been a long time since we did a family trip and the kids are going to LOVE Disneyland!  We can't wait!

The Christmas Season

We had a fantastic Christmas season this year!  We focused on spending time together as a family and on doing service for others.  It will be a year to remember!

Scooter's gotten really into the show Gold Rush, so pa gave him his very own gold pan. I know what we'll be doing at the cabin this summer!

Dance Class

Aunt Mamy and Grandma Roro gave Mimi dance lessons for her birthday.  In December we got to go for Parent's Day to watch her perform.  She loves to dance and does a great job!  Our favorite part of dance was watching the girls' clap for their teacher at the end of class.  So cute!

Thanksgiving 2011

We had such a wonderful fall season.  The weather was very mild and Thanksgiving was incredible.  We first ate over at Hootie and Munch's house with Aunt Mamy.  They served all our favorite dishes!  It was fun to have a nice quiet dinner.

Then we headed down the street to my grandpa's for a second Thanksgiving meal.  The kids had fun playing outside with their cousins.

Snowbird 2011

For Mookie's birthday in November, we headed up to Snowbird for the weekend.  We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time.  Our cousin let us stay in his luxurious condo.  We ate a lot of food, played a lot of games (our favorite was Sardines) and took quite a few naps.  It was perfect!

Preschool Bootcamp - November

 We did preschool again in November.  We had such a fun time!  This time we focused on colors and Kindergarten readiness.  Each day we wore the color of the day, then we graphed how much of each color we were wearing.  Our best day was Blue day.  The kids liked graphing every day.  We also focused on the first letter of each color and practiced writing it and played games with the letter.  On the last day we had a little Thanksgiving Feast.  These kids are so cute and so much fun to teach!  I love preschool!

Red Day (also "R" day):  We decorated our red race car steering wheels and had a race!

Rainbow Day

Color a paper towel with marker, then spray with water and watch your rainbow form!

We had a Thanksgiving "Feast" for our last day of class.
