Scooter and Mimi came to visit us in the hospital a few more times while we were there.

Having fun at Aunt Mamy's for the 24th of July. Scooter and Mimi got to take part in the neighborhood bike parade, and poor Ellie had to go to the hospital to have her blood checked (she was a bit jaundiced).
We celebrated with fireworks in our front yard later that evening. Ellie didn't know quite what to think, but after a while I took her inside for some quiet, she was getting a bit worked up.
This is Ellie's little winky eye. We call it her "Mad-eye Moody" face. She pulls this face quite often. Here Mimi and Ellie are snuggled up watching Tinkerbell together. Mimi's already introducing her to the important things in life!

Where would we be without big bows? For awhile Ellie would cry every time we put her in her chair. My theory is that she does not like to leave the house without a bow on. :)
The big kids are so good at playing with Ellie. They love to sing her songs and always want to touch and hold her. Scooter's job is to make sure that everyone who comes over washes their hands before they hold Ellie. He is so good at enforcing rules! Mimi looks for any excuse to help out with the baby. She is especially good at helping give her baths.
Life is slowly returning to a new normal for us. We are loving having this little girl home with us. What did we ever do without her?
Oops, we're a little late for this post, but these pictures were taken on Ellie's one month birthday. I can't believe how quickly a month has gone by. We are getting to know this sweet little girl. It's amazing to me how much personality these little ones come with, even at just one month old.
Ellie makes herself heard! I guess when you're the third child, you have to do whatever you can to get attention. She cries loud and hard, but luckily it doesn't last too long. Sometimes we call her the Princess and the Pea because she gets upset if things aren't perfect! Don't even think about leaving her in a wet diaper for long!
But then she has a very soft and sweet side. I could stare into these eyes forever! She has the ability to make even a tired, grumpy old mom smile just by one of her little looks. 
We sure have been blessed to have Ellie come to our family! This has been one of the most exhausting months of my life, but it's also been one of the best ever!
