So... I decide to make a Christmas card to send to all my old teammates, coaches and other friends I don't get to see anymore. And I was trying to think of something funny to take a picuture of to put on it. (I needed some kind of photo but what do you do when your single and sending out a card???)

I don't know how I thought of it... or why I thought it would be funny. But I decided to wrap myself in Christmas lights and send that on my card. (Jamie asked me how I come up with "these things" and I really didn't know what to tell her.... they just come to me!)

Yey!!! Girls weekend was a blast (Yet Again) this year! And how could it not be with myself, mother, and all of my fabulous sisters? For those of you who don't know what girls weekend is, I'll tell you... Girls Weekend is when we Hamblin girls leave all the kids and men home for the weekend and get away to basically do nothing all together! It's great!

Okay... so we don't exactly do nothing... we go to dinner, and visit, and sometimes a movie, and visit, and play games, and visit, and do mud mask facials, and did I mention visit? Seriously, there are not two seconds of silence, even when we're sleeping thanks to Jamie screaming in her sleep and me telling her to shut up in mine. (Truth. Neither one of us remembers a thing about it. It's awesome!)

The chaos took place in Cedar City this year. We went to dinner, shopped a little, and played all night at the hotel then went shopping again then next morning. Later we all met up in St. George and finished our shopping. (If you hadn't noticed there is a lot of shopping involved with girls weekend!)

The best part about the stop in St. George was that we got to go visit my Grandparents. (They're so cute!...as long as grandma is being nice to grandpa that it.)

Okay... on to, what I nominated as my favorite part of girls weekend. I bought this avacado facial stuff at Wal-Mart while we were there and all of us put it on and took goofy "vogue" pictures together! It was so funny! We were all dancing around and singing and looking like idiots TOGETHER!!! I absolutely loved it!

I love being with ALL my sisters and mom. I think this is the best tradition we have and I am so happy that we were able to coordinate all 6 of our insanely different schedules for the weekend! Love ya sistas!!!!

Worth a Thousand Words?

I really have nothing to blog about to go along with this picture, so I'm pleading the 5th and am just going to let the picture do the talking!!!

Playing Catch-Up.

Okay so this is my "one-blog can cover it all" post. First of all lets start with what I did right after I got home from Hawaii.

~DEER HUNT 2008~
The very next day... yes... very next day, was the opener of the deer hunt. Translation = JERKY!!! So my dad, Jamie and I headed out. I love the deer hunt, especially with those two!! Anyways... I ended up getting a 3 x 4. Not overly impressive, but it was my biggest one yet. (It's hard to be happy with a 3 x 4, when there is an 11 x 7 monster hanging in your house, courtest of my dad.) But, at least I'm getting better each year!

I love the time I get to spend with my Dad during the hunt. You don't say much while deer hunting, but that's okay. I love just being out in the middle of nowhere on our horses and spending that time together. I'm also glad that he's okay with taking a "wimpy girl" out with him, but since he doesn't have any boys, I guess he doesn't have much of a choice now does he! :)

~LASIK~

That's right I did it! I can now see without any contacts or glasses. Not only that... I can see 20/15!!! I have always said that after I graduated from college and got a job (okay so I don't exactly have a job yet) the first thing I wanted to do was to get LASIK eye surgery! I got it done at a place called Hoopes Vision in Sandy. They are so good!!!! And I'm not just saying that because of the massage chair OR the fresh-baked cookies. (entirely)

I couldn't believe how fast and painless (yes... painless!) the whole process was! The worst part about the whole thing was having to wear my glasses for a week prior to the surgury. Seriously. I would recommend it to ANYONE who has to deal with contacts or glasses! So amazing!!!!

~HAIR~

So, I got in one of those moods where you just want something different. (I'm sure most of you ladies out there know exactly what I'm talking about!) I really really didn't want to cut it again, because I've been trying to grow it out ever since the last time I wacked it all off, so I was going to have it dyed a little darker for the fall. Anyways... I wasn't completely sold on the idea and Angie told me that she had seen someone who April Donn had given extensions to. So I hit April up about it and we decided to try it.

And look at how good it turned out! I love it, and now I have long hair... and not just that... I have thick hair! All you girls who have thick hair are saying "big deal," but if you've never suffered the curse of thin hair (and I mean really thin hair) you just wouldn't understand.

So that's about it, things are going great, and I'm officially the crazy girl who is running around screaming, "I have new eyes! I can see and I love it!" and "I have new hair! I don't have to wrap the pony-tail holder around 40 zillion times anymore! Yipee!!!!" (I'm happy, don't judge me.)

Moving on...

Okay... so there are many, many, many, many more Hawaii pictures, but I decided that I'm done with the Hawaii blogs. (Other stuff is going on and I gotta give them their blog time right?)

All in all the trip was an absolute blast and I would recommend a visit to anyone! (Just watch out for those Japanese I warned you about!) :)
