TA-DA!

I got the candy bar/cash bouquet finished! Isn't cute! I love how everything came together! I can't wait to give it to my sister-in-law next weekend for her graduation! Congrats Leesh!

My latest (mini) project.

So, my sister-in-law is graduating from high school next weekend and I don't know about you, but I hate trying to think up a graduation gift. I wanted to do something a little more unique than cash (which we don't have a lot of right now), or a set of dishes or glasses. So I came up with an idea.

Have any of you ever seen the candy bar bouquets? I made a mini one for my other sister-in-law when she graduated from beauty school (thanks for all the hair therapy you've given my tresses Lib). Well, here's an example of one.

(this is NOT the bouquet I made, mine was not so well put together... but you get the idea.)

Anyways, I decided to do a candy-bar/money bouquet for a graduation present. It's going to be like the candy bar bouquet but, with a little something extra. :) I didn't just want to throw money in a card, so I decided to incorporate money into my bouquet theme. I found a tutorial on-line showing you how to fold paper flowers (think... oragami). The best part is that it uses money instead of regular paper. You can find the site I used here.

Anyways, here's a little visual tour of how I made my money flowers. :) I LOVE HOW THEY TURNED OUT! Stay tuned for the full candy bar/money bouquet update later!

Materials needed for 1 flower: 3 bills (I used $1's), wire cutters, floral wire, and 1 shish-ka-bob skewer.
