Millionaire Mormon Matchmaker

I have been loving this show lately.

I love Patti and want to be her. Well, not really be her but be like her. She is a borderline beast but she is very entertaining and actually has great advice. I feel like I am good at matching people up. I've had a few successes. One of which I found out about just yesterday. It was more like an indirectly made match but I still take credit for it.

About a year and a half ago, I put on an "Acoustic Night" in my best friend's backyard. I had about 12 really talented people sing one song each. The music was wonderful, there was a really good turnout, the weather was great. It was a perfect night.

 I made a facebook event page and then forgot it was still there. Yesterday I had a guy (who happened to be one of the guys who performed that night), write on the wall of my Acoustic Night event page. He wrote "I met my wife at this get-together." They are getting married this weekend! I planned the event so I'm going to take some credit for these two people finding love. I think Patti would be proud.

Disneyland Half Marathon

I went to Disneyland last weekend and didn't realize I would be participating a half marathon. Well, sort of. We ended up walking 27,000 steps which is equivalent to about 13 miles in ONE day. I don't think I've ever walked so much in my life. The last two days I have been like a crippled, old woman. I have to hobble around and each step really hurts. It's pathetic really that I'm so out of shape. Next time I plan to go to Disneyland, I think I will have to train for it. I'm not even kidding. But it was all worth it because we had the best time! It was 75 degrees, sunny, and not too crowded. The whole trip with gas, food, hotel, and park hopper tickets was only $100. There is something so magical about Disneyland. I can't even describe it. It's just magical every single time I go.

Best Part: World of Colors water and light show. This is a must see. It was like the Bellagio fountains times a thousand. I almost cried the entire 22 minutes. It was so beautiful as the lights projected scenes from all the best Disney movies on the mist from the water shooting up in the air. Brilliant.

Worst Part: The Tower of Terror. I almost cried on this ride too but for opposite reasons. I'll probably skip this ride from now on.

Perfect trip. I can't wait to go back. Pictures to come.

This and That

1. Ew! What the heck happened to my second favorite "Newsie", Jack Kelly? (Of course, Spot Conlon is my first favorite).

2. I never get sick but last week I was really sick. Blah. At one point, I couldn't hear, taste, or smell. Do you know what I realized? I think I would rather be deaf or blind than not be able to taste. Eating food is an experience to me and if I couldn't taste anything, then I would probably starve to death. I guess you could say taste is pretty important to me.

3. Can you imagine Brandon Flowers, Jimmy Eat World, Angus and Julia Stone, Kings of Leon, Swell Season, and so many more bands all in one place? What a dream! I've never been to Coachella before but maybe it's something I need to go to. See the lineup HERE.

4. Speaking of Angus and Julia Stone, I have been crazy for the last few months about this brother/sister duo from Australia. I love every single one of their songs and haven't really listened to anything else for quite some time. Here is a little taste of their goodness.

Boyz II Men

Fifteen years ago, I bought my first CD and it was Boyz II Men. Gosh, that was the greatest album. Tonight, I got to see them in concert (yes they are still around). Their voices and harmonizing were perfect, their dance moves so great, and they were really funny. They played all of my favorite songs and during "I'll Make Love to You", I ran to the stage and they gave me a rose. It was better than being on The Bachelor. What a teenage dream come true!

The Bachelor Season 2348917

I've watched since season one back in 2002. All 20 seasons. The last few season have been boring, and I have not liked it at all. I kept hoping they would end the show for good so I wouldn't have to watch anymore. My interest was sparked when they said they were bringing back season 11 bachelor, Brad, for a second time.

I watched the first episode last night, and for the first time in 21 seasons I cried on the first episode. You would too if you watched THIS cute, sweet girl tell such a heart breaking story. I have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorite seasons.
