It was raining it's pouring on Tuesday afternoon when I went to Mansfield to pick up our little school girls. Harper came with me and we were able to watch Mr. Kruger's Christmas on my DVD Player in the car while we waited in the car pool line. Is there anything funner than sitting in the back seat with Harper Grace watching Mr. Kruger. I think not. I LOVED it and it was fun to snatch up our Brooklyn and Addison and take them for a slush and home for a project. We love doing projects together and we made the cup cake pencil flowers that we made with my activity day girls. It was even more fun with only 3 little girls instead of a BUNCH!. They did a really good job and loved it.Oh how I love Tuesday afternoons in Mansfield!

Maxwell James had his last day of pre-school on Thursday. Max has LOVED going to school this year and he especially loved the days that his sweet mommy was the parent helper. I love how this preschool helps with the cost by having parents get to come. Tatia has loved Max's teachers and after the last day of school I could tell why. They made Max a book with the funnest photos of Max at school. I told him it's a book he will one day down the road read to his little boys and girls. They will love seeing their daddy when he was little like them. What a treasure. Miss Penny is counting down until the end of school too. She has been such a fun Kindergarten girl but is ready for summer break. She and Max and Oscar had to say goodbye to more good friends this week. Sad times.
In only 31 days, Miss Keelie is going to do something very very brave. She is going to climb onto an airplane by herself and fly to Texas! She will be here for Addison's Birthday and Baptism Day. We can hardly wait to have her come. We are going to try to pack in as much fun as we possibly can in the week she will be here. Thank you Char and Kenzie for letting her have this adventure! We are also excited the my Dad and my little Sister Lani will also be coming. We are sure lucky to have such a great supportive family. Charlie and the kids had a fun Saturday. A friend of theirs was building a gazebo and needed some extra hands. They loved being there to help and they sure had a good time working hard.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday dear JACKSON, Happy Birthday to YOU!!!! One year ago today, our little Jackson Boy was born. He has been a joy every day of his life. I've loved getting to know his sweet self. He always has a smile on that beautiful face and is a joy to everyone around him. Adelaide told me yesterday that he has been working hard on his walking. He took a few steps to Mommy Adelaide said. I love what a great big sister she is to Jackson boy. She uses the sweetest voice when she speaks to him which makes me smile. I received the funnest mothers day package in the mail this week. I LOVE all the pictures that Stacy took while Charlie's family was visiting last month. They are treasures. I love the beautiful painting Adelaide made me and the darling bracelets Stacy made for Elinor. She loves them too.
This has been a really good week for the Down Town Thiots. Sky's project he has been working on for the past few months for Dallas Inc, was completed! WHEW! He has worked hard and something wonderful has happened. He has discovered that Elinor is sometimes more help when she is at Grammy's house for a few hours and Grammy has LOVED Mondays and Wednesdays when I get a few hours to play with Elinor. She is so fun and has started SMILING a lot. I love to look in her darling face and have her smile up at me. She is delightful. Our Kara finished school this week. I seem to remember that Teachers are usually as excited as kids are when school is out. Kara will teach some summer school for a few weeks and then will be Home for the summer!
This week has been filled with Dentist and Doctor appointments. I was not looking forward to the week, but I'm glad it's behind me. I am not a gal who looks forward to going but always glad I have been. My doctor challenged me a month ago to loose 10 pounds before I go to Jamboree and I'm glad to report I did it. Now only 50 more pounds to go. I'ts hard, but I know I can do it. The dermatologist removed two spots to biopsy for some skin cancers. uggg. I will get the results in a week or so and know what we need to do next. Life is never boring is it?
Dick got his birthday gift this week. A brand new bike. You would think he was turning Six instead of Sixty as thrilled as he is with a shiny new bike. He has already been on a great bike ride with Skyler and has many more planned. I'm glad to report he has a new helmet too. Whew! What a fun man. I'm not sure how he is going to find time to be a biker dude, but he knows how to make time for what he loves. Go Dick!
