Our Mansfield Thiots
Ricky & Becky's family left on Tuesday for a magical week in Orlando, Florida. Becky is a marveous travel agent and found some great air fares for their trip.
They started out in Disney World and were there to both Open the Park and Close the Park. They road ever ride they were hoping to ride.
Dumbo is one you simply must ride.
This trip was an early birthday for Brooklyn. She will turn 15 on the 27th! Brooklyn loved taking some drivers training time on the race track. Ricky was most impressed with her skills and you can see Addison is close behind them in the rear.
I was at Walmart on Wednesday morning when I recieved a face time call from them while they were riding It's a Small World after all. They just happen to know that is my all time favorite ride and I LOVED getting to ride on the happiest cruise that ever sailed with them. Thanks for the ride!
Again on Wednesday they rode and rode and loved the parade and fireworks show at the closing of the park. The weather couldn't have been nicer. While we had below freezing temps at home, they were enjoying perfect Disney weather.
On Thursday they jetted over to Universal Studios and enjoy some Jerasic Park and Harry Potter Time. What a great time was had by ALL! Ricky was so kind and send us photos all throghout the week. It was nearly as fun as being there with them. Five Tired Travelers returned home on Saturday evening and I bet they slept well and I hope they can rest up today before returning to school and work tomorrow. Glad you had a wonderful time!
Our Medford Granges
I love how darling the twins playhouse turned out. Tatia and Jake did a great job building it and I love the paint job. The babies are so happy with it.
It's been in the garage during the construction process and Bumpa Grange built this lovely deck for it to go on before he and Gigi left on their mission. So with the house completed, and with the help of three strong missionaries, this little cottage was moved out of the garage and onto its foundation in the back yard. Tatia siad she has to bribe the twins to come in the house for naps and they would like to live outside. I loved seeing how happy Charlie was playing inside there too. Fun times at #2!
Last week Tatia noticed the twins looking at her family history wall. They were both enchanted looking at these relatives who they may have met in heaven before coming to earth. Tatia took the time to tell them about each of them and told them how much they loved them. I loved their darling fingers pointing and wanting to know who they were. I love family!
Our Folsom Thiots
As you may recall, Callum had his 11th Birthday last week. This weekend, Jen and Charlie hosted the most amazing Harry Potter party I have ever imagined.
From the hanging candles, to the magic hat to draw out of to the colorful drinks, it was a hit from the start to the finish.
Many of the kids came dressed up for the party which made it extra fun too.
Jen's mom designed and created the most amazing wands for each of the kids. They were thrilled!
I loved Charlie performing a wee bit of magic too.
What fun it was in Folsom turning 11. Way to go Callum! Way to host Char and Jen!
I loved this photo with the floating candles and all the great things going on inside and outside! I'm sure Keelie was a great assistant too.
Our Orem Thiots
After a rough couple of weeks, Pierce is feeling well enough to head up to the slopes with Jmo for some snowboarding time. I loved that those guys each had a basketball jersey on over their coats to feel the season of basketball.
Adelaide sent a video of her working in her class making potts on a wheel. I have always wanted to learn to do that and I loved seeing Adelaide making my dream come true. She is really talented at it and is already thinking ahead of having her own web site and selling her beautiful pieces in Poppy Pottery. I'm hoping Dick can help me figure out how to put the video on the blog. She's remarkable for an 8 1/2 year old Potter. How I love you! Jackson is feeling better too I am happy to report. They've been doing some home school with the covid count skyrocketing.
Our Upstairs Thiots
Skyler has enjoyed cooking this week and has learned to make some great meals. This steak was so good.
His friend Matt who has season tickets to the mavs got a great deal this week on some seats nearly right on the basketball court. Sky said you could hear the players talking to each other. What a great night and they even won!
Sky and Elie went to the climbing gym on Saturday morning and had a fantastic time. Elie is a natural climber and couldn't get enough.
Sky loved being there with her. To get her to leave he had to promise her a trip to the butterfly garden which she loves.
They were both trilled when this beautiful butterfly landed on Skylers finger. What a great day Saturday was!
We Plano Thiots
I signed up for a class at the Senior Center this week which goes for the next six weeks. It's about managing Type II Diabetics. I have a lot to learn but want to be Better at it. It has reading assignments and homework too. I think I'm going to learn a lot and enjoy it.
With Christmas behind us, it's time to put up some Valentine Decorations. I loved when Elie came on Saturday, she remembered where somethings were last year and helped put them where they belonged. What fun. When my kids were small and I tucked them into bed at night, I would always say, Good Night, I love you and they would return that with, I love you more and then I think it was Pierce who originated, I LOVE You the MOSTEST!!! I need a block that says that on it too!
Saturday night, Sky and Elie and Graypa were invited to the Crandall's Hot tub to enjoy the cold night in warm water. They couldn't trick me into going, I'm too smart, but they all had a great time. Maybe next time! I hope you've had a good week and that you are staying warm. SLY Robynn
