The Birthday Bash

Darrels surprise 30th birthday party went pretty well, considering I told him the night before (you pick your battles at my house) so it wasn't a surprise and I made him stay home from a four wheeling trip for it.
It was so fun to chat with old friends, new friends, best friends and long, lost friends. The party was scheduled to end at 8:00 but we were catching up until 1:00 Saturday morning. My camera battery died as soon as Kelli powered it on, but luckily Angela's Iphone saved the day and snapped this pic during the Apple Beer keggar portion of events.

Happy Birthday, Darrel!

Unrein Update

I have not taken any pictures in ages. I have not updated in what feels like ages. I have not cleaned my house in ages. I have not been to church in ages. Lately, I have been riding through life in a fog though, so my Unrein Update may be a little rambled, but you will have to take what you get!

I was sitting on the couch a few nights ago, watching Jaxon dance. All of the sudden something thumped me on the head. Apparently, Jax was jumping around the room with so much force, that an ornament, filled with M&M's, jumped from the shelf above and cracked on my head. I was pulling glass pieces out of my hair, bra and butt crack for hours after. TMI?

Darrel turns 30 on Friday. All he wants to do is go to Tepanyaki for dinner. I, unfortunately, don't really care what he wants so I am throwing him a surprise party in town. We will have to see if I am still married on Saturday! I don't really care either way.

At the beginning of March, we visited our good friends in Henefer. They were blessing their little girl, so we ventured out into the vast mountain range of Morgan County to spend the weekend with them. I went shopping that Saturday with K and ran into two people from high school. Huge shocker....I did not say hi to either one. I should have though. I am way to shy for my own good and think I may have ruined a friendship that was starting to form again.

When we returned from Henefer that Sunday, we unpacked the car and were in bed by 8:30. We were worn out. On Monday, I opened the door to the garage, to head to work, and noticed the garage door was open, the dome light was on and the rear drivers side door of the Aspen was wide open. I yelled at Darrel, "I think we got robbed last night." He shot out of bed. Upon closer inspection, I think we just plum forgot to shut the doors to the car and the garage before we hurriedly called it a night. Luckily, we reside in Tooele, where people are still honest(yet rude, inconsiderate, judgemental and mean).

I have only ever used the word "plum" in a sentence once. You all were witnesses.

Much to Darrel'e enjoyment, I have started to attack the huge mound of trash/laundry laying all over our basement. So far, I have made twelve piles of good clothes and have three bags of clothes headed to the D.I. I am pretty positive I have not made a dent.

That is all I have on the agenda for the Unrein Update. Did you stick around?

According to Urgent Care.....

this garbage is called an "Upper Respiratory Infection."

When the doctor says that, I immediately hear, "You have a bad cough, a ton of excess mucus and diabetes. I don't know what the heck you have, but lets give you an antibiotic and see if it helps."

Great, I love a good Z-pack. It's worth a try!

What is this garbage?

I do not think I have been this sick in years. My head aches, my eyes throb, my neck is stiff, my nose oozes snot uncontrollably, my throat is raw and when I cough, I almost hack up my lungs. I have been sleeping in Mr. Jax's room all week, while him and Dad have a sleepover in my room. This is miserable.
But, it is getting better. This morning, I tasted my cold medicine for the first time all week. My head doesn't feel like it is being beaten with a hammer anymore (now, it feels more like a stapler) and I can sleep most of the night. I think I am over the hump.

However, Darrel feels it coming on now. When I pulled Jax out of bed this morning, he could not stop coughing. Is it recycling through our family? I need to get away!
