Finally put Brody in his own room when he was 7 months.
I'll try to remember to do that sooner with baby number 3. It's awesome. We both sleep a lot better.
Hanging out with Brody at Sea World while Scott and Boston ride the big slides.
We went to our neighborhood pool a few times the last week before Boston started school.
Brody loves the water!
Boston and his buddies, Trenton and Victoria, at our pool.
I'm using the John Deere for running again now that Boston's back in school. Brody loves it and does really well so far. He's much less wiggly sitting in there than Boston was. He'll usually just look around for awhile and then fall asleep.
The John Deere has been through a lot, and it's heavy and beat up, but I try to remind myself that it will only make me stronger as I huff and puff this thing up all the hills around our house. I can't wait for some cooler weather too!
Boston had fun doing his first homework project with me. He made a collage with pictures of his family and labeled it with their names.
Boston's new favorite game is Life.
His favorite part of the game is getting married and having kids. When he gets married he says his wife's name is Andrea. :)
Boston won his very first time playing.
We took Boston and his friend Kylie to see Maleficent in 3D at the dollar theater on Labor Day.
We had some time to kill before the movie, so they pretended to play video games.
They each got a drink and popcorn to share. I know those drinks are way too big for them, but they were excited about them! Kylie hardly drank any of hers, but Boston drank almost the whole thing.
The movie was really good! A little scary for kids in some places, but luckily Boston didn't have nightmares.
Boston saw Scott cutting watermelon and asked him to make a helmet out of it. What a nice dad to actually ablige him!
We had to let it sit for a couple days to dry out, and then he had a couple days to play with it until I threw it away.
One morning before Boston was going to leave for school he told Brody, "I know you're going to miss me, so here, let me do this." Then he got down on the floor where Brody was and gave him a hug. It was really sweet, so I made him do it again so I could take a picture. :)
Kindergaten can be exhausting. Boston got a little behind on his sleep when we had a fun weekend with Grandpa Barry, so I made him take a nap one day. He crashed hard.
I love my morning time with Brody. He's such a sweetheart.
We are so grateful that a five year old boy moved into our culdesac! His name is Seth, and he and Boston are best buds.
We walk to and from school with them everyday, and then they play with each other severel times a week. This is Boston's first friend that's a boy that has lived walking distance to us. Finally!
I took this the day I ran 16 miles at O.P. Schnabel park with my running buddy Ashley. That was the farthest and fastest I had run a long run since having Brody, and it was also my first time running with Ashley. I had no idea it would take me this long and be this hard to catch back up to my old running buddies, but I'm slowly getting there. I've still got a ways to go, but I was happy that I got to run with Ashley again, finally!
Later that day we took Boston to see Shrek at the Majestic Theater. Our good friends, the Johnsons, gave us their tickets because they recently moved to St. George. We were grateful they thought of us because we love plays!
That was a fun filled Saturday because after the play, Scott and I got to go on a date to the temple. Afterwards, we went to the new Kneaders that just opened up there. It was so good! Eating there is definitely motivation to make it up to the temple more often. :)
Brody loves to put his feet up on the stroller bar, kick back, and relax. It's adorable. I stopped in the middle of my run to take some pictures of his chubby little feet up on the bar.
He's precious.
