Cultural Art Experience

For homework, went to a ballet and an art exhibition.

An amazing experience.

Went to the graduate exhibition with Sarah Goh, and had a wonderful time bonding and having dinner - I know, shocking that Sarah eats! ;P

The graduates' performances were exhilarating!

Each and every dancer was perfectly synchronised with the others.

Sarah was totally blown away too.

Of course, that had nothing to do with the topless guys with very defined shoulders and 6-pack abs. LoL...

A Day in Pompeii: art exhibition

A really amazing exhibition. The way they mapped out the whole thing, so you feel like you're walking through the streets of this little Roman town. They had really strong cultures too, very intriguing group of people. Too bad they got drowned by Volcanic lava.
The exhibition even had body casts. Once the lava hardened and people started digging things out, they actually found rocks shaped just like humans, as in the position they were in when they were hit by the volcano. Interesting.

In early September, we all got together and put on our best 1950's costume.

My dress was somewhat inspired by Marilyn Monroe's famous white dress.

Just got home from a movie outing with Mum, Nicole and Vernis. We watched Julia&Julie. Extremely great feel-good movie!! But anyway, after watching... I felt like blogging. And since I've been spending my entire weekend on Summer Project letter writing etc... I decided "Ah..stuff homework... I might as well take one more night off (though I'm pretty sure I'll regret this tomorrow, but whatever)" So here I am, blogging.

I've been going to the cinemas to watch movies.... quite a lot. lol... there was "District 9" from Josh's birthday, then "My Sister's Keeper" because we got discount tickets (the movie's a really good visual version of the book by the way), there was "Up", with Nicole's cell group (mighty funny!!), then "Mao's Last Dancer" which I won tickets to (Great movie, though the book's still the best!), and tonight "Julia&Julie" (which Vernis bought tickets to, so I didn't have to pay). =)

And while walking around in the cinemas, I saw posters for "Sherlock Holmes"!!! Robert Downey Jr!!!! And Rachel McAdams!!! And Jude Law!!! Star cast... I wanna watch >.<....

Anyway, enough about movies. Assigments, essays and everything else has beeenn.... ok. Not bad (yet), not good. But I'm surviving, because I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. - Phillipians 4:13. So, fingers crossed for Summer Project support raising. haha..

GLEE is awesome. Their remake of songs are amazing.... S2 S2...I'm in love with a TV show. And its amazing soundtrack.

Spring is finally here.

Weather's been mighty fine and I've been getting every chance I can get to bask in the glory of the sun.
Whilst doing work. -.-

God never asks us to sacrifice something small.




He asked Abraham to sacrifice his son.




He asked Esther to put her life on the line.




He also probably didn't give some people the choice to take the hard road or not.




Like Joseph who got thrown into some series of unfortunate events. Or Paul, who only really saw God when he was blind.


But it's when He gives that choice that you really see a true servant of God. Abraham who feared God, Esther who trusted Him.




I'm still unsure as to which is the better situation.




Grace says: "The greater the sacrifice, the bigger the miracle."



And I just feel like going to bask in His sun rays on a little hill, lie on the grass and listen to Him sing.

Other happenings, despite my busy busy life, ended up sleeping over at Sarah's with Franny one Friday night a few weeks ago (: good times.

We had supper till late, and got back to Sarah's around 12.30am.
Did a few things, ate Mi Goreng then camwhored using photobooth from Gab's mac.

Then we walked to Box Hill. From Doncaster. We left the house half an hour later than we planned, and we were gonna take a one and a half hour walk to Box Hill. But because we were late, we got Gab to come pick us up to get to leaders' meeting (on time). haha...

We slept about 2+am and got up at 7am to walk to Box Hill. Crazy or what?

On Station Street and we were on the bridge.

This was somewhere near midpoint of our walk and Sarah and Franny were slower than normal. I had to stop to let them catch up with me! XD

Then there was my birthday.

Really didn't feel like celebrating and didn't think of making it a big deal because well, it is just another day.

But, kind Fungusoids "surprised" me, again, on the Sunday.
Shaun brought cake after soccer, thanks skinny-jeans-guy! ;)

And some 10 or so of us all played some Rummy-O and/or Spinner. Totally fun!!
..although I was missing out on Australian Idol. LoL...

Next day, started out early to STUDY!! Had major assignment due on Thursday that week.
People's reaction were : " =O You studied?? On your birthday??" -.-.. it IS just another day. Millions of people around the world work the day away on their birthdays too...

Anyway, went off to Ikea with Gab in the afternoon, spent a fortune of my salary on my room-makeover, and then had coffee with Sarah, then dinner with family. Got home, watched some TV and then Grace, Gab and Aviel popped by (in the rain) to spend the final hours of my birthday with me. Busy busy day, but way too tired to enjoy much.

Grateful nonetheless.

So, thank you to everyone, near or far who did the best they could to help me have a good day :)

Ohh.. one more thing: Camp Odyssey with the kids. But there's just too much to tell about that to blog about it. hehe.. some kids can be so cute.


Two weeks holiday...more like "holiday".
Uni officially starts for me in two days, and I already want to go on a vacation - a real one.
When the weather's better, I'll go to the beach. For my vacation. hmph!


One more month left of my 2nd semester of my 2nd year at uni. How fast time flies.
Lots more work to do! I have folios to compile, an autobiography to write, and a stupid exam to do! >.<.... Let's hope I live through this one, right?
