It counts! It counts!

When I went in to get Ruby up for the day she was in her crib babbling and saying "mamamama". After I picked her up she kept saying it off and on for about 10 minutes. She kept freezing up and trying to eat the camera but I eventually got it! She's been repeating it throughout the day. I know she hasn't connected the meaning with the sounds yet, but it still counts! Months of drilling her finally paid off! I'm so proud of our little babbler!

Is is possible to have too many home videos? I don't think so.

Ruby's "cartoons". I don't like her watching a lot of TV but I can deal with a little, as long as it's educational. Oh yes, that song will be stuck in my head for the rest of my life.

Tickle me Ruby

Ruby eats dinner in the buff these days (we learned that skin cleans easier than clothes do). We generally leave her in her diaper for an hour or two until bath time. I just can't get over how cute our little neked baby is!

I think the changes look far more subtle this month. Don't let it fool you. She's turning in to quite a character. I love seeing her grow and learn. I especially love to see her personality developing. These little photo sessions are becoming more and more fun as she can hold herself up and make different expressions. Just for kicks, I'll share some of our "outtakes"

Baby's Growing Up!

Can you believe how BIG she is?! She rolls over from back to front and she sits unassisted for a few minutes at a time. I feel like she stays the same for a month and then she'll suddenly double in size overnight. I'm trying not to blink and miss it. We're taking our monthly photos sometime this week to compare to last month. I'll try to get them posted soon so keep checking back!

Happy Half-Birthday Baby!

Guess who turned 6 months old today! The very cutest baby in the whole wide world! Woohoo!

We celebrated with some fun decorations, cupcakes, a half-birthday crown, and a little present. Who knew a $2 rattle would be so much fun?
