Extras + a Milestone

The shot of a lifetime.  How did I get all 3 of them sitting AND looking up at me at the same time?  No idea.  I can't even do this with my kids!

These two do this every day now.  Love that they play so well together!

For posterity - when we got home from TN, our washing machine was broken.  Spent a few hours at the laundry mat - but man it was awesome!  14 loads washed AND dried in 1.5 hrs!

Plus, the kids thought it was fun!

It helps if you open yours mouth too.

I can't take much credit for this boy wonder.  He did most of it himself!

They are terribly thrilled with his progress.  As of April 20 - he is in big boy underwear with the world of diapers long behind him.

I dont' do this enough.

We could do a way lot more of this too.

Season Opener

April 5 -- Express Game!

This year we finally got out for one of our favorite activities!  One that we neglected all last year (on account of the pregnant lady.)  All I can say is - it was sure good to be back!

In true James' style - Cody was able to sit and WATCH the entire game!  He never fussed or made me even stand up and walk around with him.  He was perfectly content to sit and watch the doings.

Everyone did so well - we even made it to the very end and the fireworks!

Easter 2013

Easter snuck up on us this year!  It was so early - and I was not ready for it.  Nonetheless, we had a great one!  Thankfully, the chickens have been laying PLENTY so we were able to do 4.5 dozen eggs!

When it comes to my kids and eggs - you can never have enough!  Izzy takes her time and makes sure each egg is to her satisfaction.  James worries about getting enough of every color.  Wyatt just goes all in.  I'd say 3/4 of his eggs were blue.  He just REALLY liked the blue dye this year.  He would dye them, and then re-dye them.  Sometimes he'd take a yellow egg of his and re-dye it blue and then wonder why it wasn't blue in the end.  It was really cute.

I'm pretty sure more dye ended up on his hands/tummy than on any of his eggs!

But let's not forget the stars of the show!  

They were almost too pretty to dye!

Cody: 6 Months

Six months have just flown by!  In that time - Cody has been such a great baby!  He is mellow and happy and always up for whatever crazy we are doing at the time.

He is still eating really REALLY well.  Some days it seems I can't give this boy enough food!  He had his 6 mo check up and came in at the 45% on weight.  For our kids - that is really good!!  He's definitely the biggest one at this age we've had.  He's also topping out (as usual) in the 95% for height.

He's working on sitting.  He can totally do it - but he just almost doesn't want to!  I've caught him a few times for a few minutes, but when he sees me, he usually flops over.  Or he does this....

April 15 - First official length of time to sit up

March 19 -- Season opener!

James has started up little league again for the year.  This is his last year in t-ball!  Next year will bring coach pitch - and he can't wait!

Recognize the uniform?  He was a Phillie last year too!  Weird!

TX to TN

March 8 - 10 - Texas day at school and trip to Tennessee

We haven't been out to TN since cousin Benji was born!  That was over 5 yrs ago!  Anyone from Isabel down out of our crew had never been.  So, we decided to pre-spring break it and go out for a visit.  

The trip started with James having TX day at school.  Dressing up and country dancing were just a few things he got to do that day.  As soon as he got home - we loaded up and headed out!

Our first order of business when we met up with everyone was to hit a park so the kids could get out of the car and run around.  Great plan - they did this for about 2 hours!!

Afterwards - PIZZA for the gang!  It was amazingly pizza!  Super good - and really fun flavors like breakfast or something like that.  Large chunks of potato and bacon on a slice of pizza!  It was REALLY good!

Of course, the next day we had to hit some of that TN BBQ!

Cody was a champ on the trip!  He loves visiting people and going on car rides!

I think one of the kids' and my favorite parts was sitting out on Uncle Matt and Aunt Myrt's deck while the kids played around with each other.
