Castle Play

While the whole gang was out, we decided to take the kids to the Castle Park to let them run out some building energy. The first thing JL told me was that it's actually not a castle, but a fort. :-) Boys! Nevertheless the kids all had a great time, as did the adults. There is just enough shade to sit comfortably under.

Wyatt: 6 Months

Wyatt turned 6 months last week! Hard to believe my little baby isn't such a baby anymore. Right now he loves to smile at me. He also giggled (big huge giggles) at his brother this past weekend for the first time. He still loves to squeal and coo and hear himself talk, but I can hear a few new sounds mixed in there occassionally. My favorite one is when he'll say "ma ma ma ma." I usually hear this when he's starving.

Speaking of food, he's still just so so on a bottle. I've decided he has to be in the mood to humor me, but he is starting to really like baby food. His favorite currently is peaches. His not so favorite is peas. He makes a face every time if it's peas for dinner!

He only sucks his thumb on occassion, and seems to alternate between his thumb and any 2 fingers he finds at the time. He's still sleeping great! Averaging between 9 and 10 hrs straight at night. He usually takes a 2 hr nap in the morning and a 2 hr nap in the afternoon. I think he's working on his bottom two teeth, but it sure is taking forever! He'll have his drooly days and his normal not-so-drooly days. One thing is for sure though: he is a great baby and we are all crazy about him!

The Whole Posse

The rest of our family joined us last week for the continuation of our palooza. We started off the week playing with the kids and taking the whole family for a boat ride.

The Bug We Found

Actually, JL found this creature. It was crawling on his shoulder!!! He swatted at it and started calling for us once it hit the concrete and he saw it! The thing is ... creepy! And HUGE! Wanna know what it is and learn more about it? Check this out.




PS - yes, those are huge jaws and yes, it does bite. Hard.
