Christmas 2010

We had a fantastic Christmas. James and Izzy were so excited all Christmas Eve for Santa to arrive. We baked him cookies in the afternoon and made sure everything was set up and ready for his arrival. They made sure to be extra good all day - just in case he was still watching their behavior! ;-)

James did really good and didn't wake up to unwrap presents until 1:45am! Then he came into our room wondering if Santa had been here yet and when we could do presents! I told him it was still too early, and I was surprised at how easily he went back to bed to patiently try to wait/sleep until morning.

We didn't see him again until 7 (which is only slightly earlier than he wakes up on a normal day.) He wanted to rush downstairs, but we explained everyone had to be up and awake before we could go downstairs (although, Daddy let him peek once or twice.) Wyatt came next about 20 minutes later. He and James waited while I got cleaned up and ready for the day. Finally we couldn't take it anymore and woke Izzy up around 8. Once she came too and remembered it was Christmas morning - she was one of the first downstiars!

James got a sweet castle from me and Dad - it has working draw-bridges and fire dungeons. It is very cool - he loves it!
Isabel got a dollhouse from me and Dad. Naturally, the dolls that inhabit it have been misplaced to make room for the princesses that have taken over the living space
Wyatt examined his block truck for a while before figuring out how to stack the blocks together - he's such a cutie!

After church, Izzy got all dressed up, picked out a couple dolls and came downstairs to surprise us with her glamour!

It was a wonderful, family day. Of course, we miss all of you that are miles away from us - we love you and hope to see you soon!

6 Thumbs Up!

Christmas Eve Eve I took Isabel and James to see Tangled. It was basically the first movie in the theater for both of them. James has been once before - but he was so little, he didn't remember it at all. They were both just fascinated by the whole experience! The lights on the floor - the curtains on the walls - the dimmed lights and the big sound. They loved it! And the movie was really really cute! I enjoyed it as much (if not more) than the kids did! Dare I say it my new favorite Disney movie?! It was a special memory for me, and hopefully one for the two of them as well.

James loved the huge movie posters that lined the hallway. His favorite was the Pirates poster promoting the new film coming out this summer. He requested a photo by it!
Here's my cuties post-movie. They were just a buzz about the movie. All thew ay home we talked about their favorite parts and what happened when this and that. It was so fun to hear their take on the movie!

I already can't wait for the movie to come out on DVD!

Wyatt: 11 Months

Yesterday Wyatt turned 11 months!

I know he's got a shining temperament (this picture was even taken post church and pre lunch!), but to compare it to my other 2, this was them at 11 Months:



Since the SnapShot blog just about 2 weeks ago, Wyatt has sprouted 3 more teeth! He now has a total of 8! Four on top and four on the bottom. Here he is showing them all off! He's big on giggling lately and trying to make me and Dad laugh at his tricks.
