Mondays at the ballpark mean $1 hotdogs and drinks. I love it! There's nothing better than a warm summer evening, kids, hotdogs, and baseball! Does it get any better!?

Rodeo 2011

Last night we went to the local rodeo. It was fantastic fun!




Isabel's favorite part was the barrel racing.

Izzy wore her pink cowgirl hat nearly all night. She also carried around a white string that was her "lasso." It was really cute!

Wyatt's favorite part was the buckin' broncos.



James favorite part was the Mutton Bustin and the fact that he got to be IN the rodeo!

Things I Learned Today

1. 5 yr olds are handy. This morning, mine volunteered to vacuum my entire van! And he did a right fine job of it!

2. It's a long haul to bring the garbage can back to the house when you live on a 5 acre ranch.

3. Rain is wonderful!

4. My favorite thing is reading to my Muckles and having them all crowd around fighting for lap space.

5. My daughter is a thoughtful soul. She is very kind and always giving. I honestly don't know where she gets it from. :) She also has the most amazing eyes.

6. If I sit down, 3 kids, 2 kittens, and 1 big Golden are always near. It's good to be loved. :)

With Willie, Waylon and the Boys

As a pre-Fathers Day celebration, we took a family roadtrip to Luckenbach. I've wanted to go since we moved out this way. Honestly, I've wanted to go since I was a little girl listening to the famous song about the place. :)

It was a sprawling 10 acre town. Complete with 5 old buildings, a stage, and a bbq join/bar. I thought it was great! The kids loved it too. They had about 5 full-sized roosters roaming around the place. I didn't know this, but roosters can fly. And they can fly well! Most of them were HIGH in the trees above our heads. If one dared to come down, my two boys would chase it around and around and around. :)

As we were walking out of town, JL noticed the roosters had gone behind the post office sign. It was pretty cool to see these fellows - the kids just loved them!

Sponge

Wyatt Burp is in that fun stage of being the human sponge. His favorite thing in the whole world to do right now is follow James and Isabel around mimicking their every move and every sound.


It's really cute - but it is changing him somewhat. He's turning into a little boy! I'm not ready for this to happen! He use to be so cuddly and lovey and willing to do whatever I asked. Now, taking a cue from his brother, he usually will growl at me or giggle and then run away when I ask him to cuddle me. Sniff Sniff. He's getting way too independent. I don't like it a bit! :)

Phone Dump

I just figured out how to download all those fantastic pictures from my new phone. I know, I know - lame. But at least I did it! :-) So here are a bunch of just random shots from the past couple of months!

One of the first things we all did when we moved to the ranch - climbed the treehouse. James had been looking forward to this moment for a very, very long time. I love this picture because Grammy was a total sport and climbed right up with everyone!
These are from Chuck E Cheese. James and Izzy went to a birthday party for Rose back in May. Rose and James share the same birthday - just so happens her party was on their actual day. So James got to wear a birthday crown too - it was awesome!

My Favorite

My favorite breakfast lately is biscuits and sausage! You can't beat a warm biscuit from the oven smothered with butter and honey! From scratch? you say? Nope - just a pack of Jiffy! Why bother with scratch when these are so good and fast! We all eat them up! Big Wy had 2 biscuits and 3.5 sausages this morning! Even isabel (my picky eater) had one with a half sausage. James likes his biscuit w/out butter (or so he thinks) but with lots of honey. He is hit or miss on the sausage. I usually can eat about 3 of these babies (as long as they are warm!) and JL takes care of the rest ;-)
