Happy Mother's Day

Had to pop on to wish all of my Mama friends and family a Happy Mother's Day!! Here's a few pics from our weekend. Surrounded by my three beautiful boys and some good friends for a weekend at Lake Texoma. Fishing, digging in the sand, and relaxing on the boat. Very fun!

Blog Break

We've been a little absent lately. I am taking a break from the blog to work on my New Year's resolution - - photo albums/books! This is an area that I am SO not on top of...hundreds and hundreds pics printed, hundreds and hundreds on CD...and nothing outside of the boys' baby books to show for it! :) So farewell to our blog for a while and I hope to return one day soon with more pics! Sick Sully

Sully had the absolute WORST stomach bug ever a few weeks ago. We are used to stomach bugs being 24-48 hours and it being awful, but running it's course in due time. This was one was different and it scared us to death. 7 lb weight loss in less than a week, 2 emergency room visits including IV drip for dehydration and the scariest of all - - throwing up blood which sent Mike running out of the house at 10 pm, Sully in his arms -- health is something we take for granted when everything is fine. I was sure happy to see my quiet, withdrawn sick boy return to his larger than life self. I could cry just writing about it!!

I love that whenever I tell Sully I am going to take a picture of him these days he flashes the guns up. It is too cute! I am sure Mike is loving this. :) This pic is from one of Sully and I's lunch dates at school.

Bowl Games

Both our teams won, yay! Tech made us nervous until the end, but they pulled it out and it was a runaway victory for my Cowboys. Happy household. Had to take a pic of the screen from the Tech game...when have you last seen a 4th and 49, crazy?

! Mike, Doc, and I watched the TTU game from a Sports Book in Vegas, very fun.

Lawton for Christmas

An expected early departure for Oklahoma due to the blizzard of 2012! Loved being there before our trip to Vegas. Thanks for taking such good care of us and our boys while we were away. We love you Nana, Damps, Aunt Karen, & Uncle Brad. Thanks for making the trip so much fun for the boys.

Doc's Holiday Party

Doc hosted a great family gathering at his house before Christmas. Of course, I got no pictures of Doc with the boys or Uncle Bay, who was in town from Austin. Shame on me. Anyway, a great time was had by all. Always a good time when you gather the Hales together. They are such a wonderful, fun group - - so lucky to be part of their family!

Brooks goes to Holiday Break Cookie Camp

We have a personal chef in our neighborhood who hosts cooking/cookie camps for young kiddos during holiday breaks at school. Brooks was in heaven. Loves his sweets like his Mama! :)

Rock Climbing Birthday Party

Let me just say, BOTH of my boys were fearless and I was so very proud of them. They had never done this before, and both strapped on the safety gear and went for it! I love their willingness to try new things - - it will take them far in life!

Sully's Christmas Party

My fellow homeroom Moms and I decided on a penguin theme for Sully's kinder Winter Party - - kind of sad that it can't be a Christmas party. Thank goodness for crafty Moms (not me!)...it turned out so cute thanks to our fearless homeroom Mom leader, Mandy. She basically did all the groundwork and gave us each a job - - which I was great with...I was in charge of the craft prep work. Ugh...not my thing! I had to trace out 24 patterns and get out all of the supplies. Kids had a great time.

Love my sister and her thoughtfulness - - she is such a great Mom and every time she does something for her boys, she always thinks of my boys and Mike's kiddos. So, the boys got this in the mail from "Santa's Elves". Love you sis, they loved it!

Christmas Light Looking

We surprised the boys one night during the holidays by pretending to put them to bed and then waking them back up to surprise them with a Friday night trip to look at Christmas lights. Mike made them popcorn and hot chocolate and had it waiting in the car for them. Best part: after all the buildup (I was excited about this for a week!) - - Brooks asks Mike after he got in the car, "Dad, where are we going?" Mike said: "We are going to look at Christmas lights

" to which Brooks replied "BO-RING!!" Haha - - best laid plans...
