St. George

The weekend after Stephen and Alisha were married, Cory's Mom, Dad and Sister met up with us in St. George for a few days. Shelley and David's friends have a vacation home there they let us use. It was such a wonderful weekend full of hiking at Zion National Park and hanging out by the pool. We are so grateful to their friends for providing us that opportunity!

Jocelyn is always happen when she can see herself in a mirror. And

Jocelyn is flexing in her sleep. I promise.

Houston

Don't her cheeks look so big in this picture? I think so!

My little brother Stephen got married to his beautiful (now) wife Alisha on May 8 2010. For this purpose out family made our way to Houston, where Alisha is from. It was nice to be together with my family and always nice to be part of a beautiful temple sealing.

The other nice part of the trip? Two grandparents, 7 siblings and 5 nieces and nephews (or those old enough) who wanted to help with Jocelyn. And at that time she was an especially fussy Jocelyn. But a cute Jocelyn none the less.

Also, Cory is convinced Houston is the place he wants to be. I am, ok with the idea I guess....

Oh and pictures will come later. I didn't really get a chance to take any. But my sister Becky did.

Jocelyn wanted a pony. The best we could do was a cat. Marzipan happily volunteered.

I think I can, I think I can....

So much has been going on in life, babies, funerals, weddings, going back to work, Cory working...its hard to keep up. Until recently I felt I was doing a decent job keeping up. I was even able to keep the house pretty clean. But yes, you read right. Until recently.

Don't get me wrong, I love my job and my family. But I am tired. My house is a disaster. And why? My beautiful, wonderful two month old little girl is still not sure if she wants to sleep for two hours at a time or one (sometimes even less) at night. I have been telling myself I will not be discouraged. She is only two months old, and was born a month early. But I keep seeing all the people I know with babies the same age or younger then little girl talking about 4-5 hours of sleep at night... Really? Please tell me your secret!

I just keep thinking I have to be like the little engine that could. But it is hard. There I said it. It is hard. I am so tired that I am scared when I drive to work. I even slept in my car for 5 minutes this morning before going into work and a coworker found me. Kind of embarrassing. But it was a wonderful 5 minutes.

Again, I absolutely love my little girl. Just when I am frustrated and fed up I look at her and my heart melts and I know I would rather not sleep then not have her. But I wouldn't be upset if she could just let me sleep for longer then 15-30 minutes at a time. Again, suggestions are welcome.

2 Months!

I can't believe it has been two whole months since Jocelyn was born. I also cannot believe it has only been two months. I don't even remember what it was like to not have her. To go to work and not be ready to rush home and cuddle her, and have family time, date night and everything better with her there. I know someday I will want a break but I am ok with that.

At two months she has really grown! She has no problem packing on the weight. She now weighs 9 lbs and 10 oz. Is 22 inches long and is smiling a lot. She is also holding her head up a lot, not that we are surprised, she has been trying to do that since she was born.

She is at the 25th percentile for everything which is a lot since before she was barely even on the charts. We love her so much and can't believe how quickly she changes.

Jocelyn at 2 months.

I already miss how small she was, but am so excited for everything to come (at least until her teens...) What a blessing she is in our lives!
