Life is Fun and Busy

I love being a wife and mother. I am not so sure how I would spend my time otherwise. Our kids keep us busy and laughing for the most part. This month of April and the month of May(coming up) are and have been and will be crazy!

Braden and Karson have been in soccer and been doing awesome as always. And, baseball started a week ago and we are going both directions for the next couple of weeks until soccer is done. Baseball goes into the middle of June. School work is getting harder and harder to do now that the nice weather is here and the kids love it!

Brynn is loving and always asking for play dates. She has figured out that friends are great!

Spencer loves his couple of friends also. His play dates are far less. He especially misses Brynn when she is gone and he is all alone with me. Hopefully that will change with this new one coming. For those that don't know--its a boy!

Tyler enjoys his job. This week he finishes with his classes for Spring semester. YEAH!! He also starts summer (13 credits) and will be super busy again. But . . . great news . . . after summer is over, he has one class in the fall and then he will be done!!! We are closing in!!! I am super proud of his commitment to work, school, his church calling and home. He has done a great job balancing out all his responsibilities.

Museum of Natural History

We went to the Museum here in Salt Lake City. It was "free Monday." It was fun and chaotic at the same time. I know it doesn't even compare to NYC, but we'll take what we can.

Easter Fun

Easter is long over, but here is my update.

The Monday before Easter, for family night, we colored eggs! It was a fun project. As you can see, two of the kids wanted to put the sticker faces on, the other two didn't. It is fun to see their personalities come out. Each child got to color four eggs. The eggs didn't all get eaten as hard boiled eggs are not a favorite in my house(I just found out).

The day before Easter, the kids got to do the city egg hunt. It was not much of a hunt as the eggs were all over the ground-not hiding. Anyway, it was fun. I only have a single picture of Brynn because that is who I was with during the 15 or so seconds of the hunt. This year, all of my four children were in different age groups. I am proud of Braden and Karson for doing so well on their own!

I didn't get pictures of the other gifts, but I am told I need to say that each child got new shoes, and a new toothbrush. The family got a tee for the kids to hit off of, and a couple of bats and balls. Happy Easter!!

Good Friday Cont...

We were on our way home from the dunes when our friends called us with opening night Bees tickets! We were home for about twenty minutes and turned right around and went to the game. The Bees were victorious! The day started early, and was long, but we enjoyed our time!

Spencer, Dad, and Grandpa! Grandpa is flying solo this weekend while Grandma is with the Cowans, so we invited Grandpa to come. Glad you came!

Good Friday

Tyler had the day off Friday, so we went to the knolls recreation area. This is the mini sand dunes as we call them. It was super fun and the weather was great. We had rain Thursday, and another storm hitting Saturday, so it was nice to be in between the storms for descent weather.

Lunch anyone? Here are some of my handsome boys, and my awesome husband who does so much to make sure that the wheelers are ready to ride and go. His work is burdensome by himself (loading, tying the wheelers down, maintenance, and such), but I never hear him complain!

The sand is so soft, who wouldn't enjoy taking their shoes off and let is slip between their toes?

Spencer loves to ride also. It took a little time for him to get comfortable, but he loves riding!

Spencer is super strong and tough! He loved to push the mini wheelers! Believe it or not, he pushed them quite the distance.

Braden Field Trip

I got to go this Braden on a field trip! Thanks to TaLonnie for watching my other children so I could go. It was an adventure with a bunch of second graders. We watched a very neat underwater movie at the Planetarium first, then got to explore. Braden said that school would have "been funner" rather than learning about the planets, solar system, and the earths movements. Space may not be in his future.?. We then had lunch, and went into Discovery Museum. My kids have been here plenty, so there was nothing new for Braden. He explored with the other kids, but for the most part said that he would have been in school. What a day!

Here is a cashier. I pray that he doesn't choose this as a profession later in life! Glad that this is all in fun!

Brynn can ride a Two Wheeler!!!!

Brynn started riding a two wheeler last fall at age three. She did really good on the straight a way, but had a hard time turning. She wanted to turn too sharp. Now, first thing this spring, she took off like it was nothing! Mom and dad ran with her a few times to make sure she turned wide, and she had it down. She always has the biggest smile on her face and sure loves to ride everywhere now.

Our family Tip: For our kids to learn so fast, there are a couple hints that we use. First, never have your kids ride one of those silly three wheel scooters. It doesn't do them any good when teaching them balance. Brynn has had a two wheel scooter and has learned balance just fine. Spencer is two and learning a two wheel scooter just fine. Second, teach them early on a bike that has 12 inch wheels (very small) wheels. It keeps their center of gravity low, and if they tip a bit, they are able to catch themselves with their own feet as the bike is so short! This takes away from the crashes, bumps and bruises for the most part.

Just For Fun!

Spencer absolutely loves Lightning McQueen! He loves to watch the movie, play with all his "cars" toys. Sometimes he even has to go to bed with a car. This picture is too cute as he fell asleep on top of McQueen while watching the movie. I sure love my little man!

Here is my knight in shining armour! He loves to play swords and dress up as if he is really fighting. This is right at bedtime and provided mom and dad a good laugh just before hitting the sack. Spencer has had a super hard time going to bed at night. He is either not tired (usually from a late nap), too full of sugar (the kids love to give him snacks even if mom says no), or he just plain and simple hates to go to sleep! So, this particular night was one of those. He wanted to play! How do you get mad when he is so cute. Anyway, we did eventually get him to bed.

Short Meridian Trip

Here are all the kids on Sunday morning prior to departing back to our homes. Thanks to the Youngs for handling so many kids and being willing to have us all there.

Fun games. My kids love to play "war!" Also, Aubree and Karson did a great job at building Dominoes. It was fun to see them play well together.

Crazy Golf! The balls were in a very big tangle and Gpa Brad was given assignment to take them apart. My kids tried to help as they were excited to play.
