Braden's Birthday

Braden turned eight this year. Because his mom is not much of an entertainer, especially for a bunch of kids to bombard me for a party, we suggested the party be going to the local baseball game. Braden got to take three friends to the game and dad went with them. We were even lucky and got tickets for a fireworks night. We had the kids over for dinner, cake, and presents, then off to the game. (it went into extra innings) Braden and the others said they had fun!

Both sets of grandparents stopped by and wished him a happy birthday! Thanks for the gifts!

Braden's Baptism

We had a great experience in our family. Braden, our oldest, was baptised on June 13th, 2009 by his dad. It was a great day and we were glad to have all the family and friends there that could come. Thanks for your support.

Baseball Season

Braden's regular season team swim party. Karson was on the team for the play-offs, therefore, he became part of the team and got to be at this fun party also. The ball in the nice square display case that Braden is holding is his award for the year. His coach chose Braden as the MVP of the season. He was very deserving of this award, and we are proud of him!

Braden made the all-star team this year and here he is in his uniform(which is too big). He carried the all-star team with the best batting average(he only struck out once), and was an awesome fielder. He played short stop most of the time, and a few other positions other times.

THE BEST PART OF THE SEASON FOR KARSON!! Here Karson is playing up into the machine pitch league. This is due to players on vacation and such during the tournament play. Karson hit the ball every time to bat, except once--the machine was not set correctly, and I will explain the best moment below.

Braden's team had already lost one game in a double elimination tournament. They were playing a game that was on and off with the rain. With five minutes left in the game, the machine wouldn't work anymore. The game was called. Braden's team was up by 9 runs and was up to bat with 2 outs on them and a runner at first. Karson was on deck. The other coach threw a fit saying that the game had 15 minutes left and made it so we had to finish the last of the game on another night. Even though the umpires and our team score keeper and coach said there was only 5 minutes left. So, two days later, we had to finish the game. The head honcho decided that it was best that there was 10 minutes left of the game to make sure that the other coach was happy, I'm sure. Anyway, on Monday, the kid that was up to bat wasn't able to come to the game, which left Karson up to bat first with two outs, and a runner on first. The other coach made it sound like they had it made--easy out was what I heard. Anyway, Karson stood up to bat and smacked a true home run over center fielder. It was the best moment for his mom. I was so darn happy. Karson showed that he is a ball player and can play just as good, and better than some of the players in the older league. It was awesome. Braden's team ended up taking third place and getting a trophy. Karson got a trophy also because of the outstanding play he did also. It was so fun to have my boys play together. And, the other coach came up to me after the game and admitted that "I have two boys that are great ball players."

Lagoon Day

Once again, dad's company paid for most of the cost of Lagoon. So, we packed up the kids and went to have some fun! This happened at the end of May--sorry I am so slow, but I am catching you all up little by little. As you know, dad got the fun of riding with the kids all the time because I am pregnant. Enjoy!

4-Wheeling at Delle

We go wheeling a lot at the knolls and the sand. We decided to go to Delle with our friends. We had fun, but there were downfalls. (red ants, dirt and more dirt, and not much free space to watch the kids ride) Andrew and Michelle came and enjoyed the day also.

Brynn wore shoes that were toooooooo small!!! She ended the day with two huge blisters. One on each foot! She wore flip flops for the following week everywhere she went.

Karson Kindergarten Program

Karson also had the most wonderful Kindergarten teacher! He had the same teacher as Braden. He had a wonderful program and we love all that he has accomplished. He is super smart and is a leader in his class in reading and math!
