We have/are making lots of changes to our back yard. You have to understand that our backyard was BARE when we moved here. It had nothing. In the last month we bought a crape myrtle tree, planted a little garden, and planted a little flower bed. Travis and Dean start building a pergola over our porch this weekend as well. We'll be extending our patio too. I'm so excited! Douglas is mesmerized by the outside so this will be so fun for him. Here's some pictures

Finally, our garden. Travis isn't a big vegetable fan so we are only trying strawberries, blackberries, peas, and a watermelon.

Good for you! I tried a garden last year, I just wasn't successful enough to put in the effort this year. Maybe another time.
That looks great! I will need some pointers when we have a back yard to fix up. I love the thought of gardening....but have no idea what goes in to it!!!
What an incredible, big yard! Douglas is going to love it when he gets a little older! The beds are beautiful and you can totally tell Travis has been working on the yard, too! Its much more lush and green! W ay to go!

Looks great! Your flowers are beautiful! Our backyard needs some major attention too. This year we decided to focus on our front yard and getting our grass to grow better, but I have big plans for next year!
I'm so jealous Crystal! It's beautiful, we are still renting, but talked the owners into letting us have a little spot for a garden. We have some gardening pros for neighbors, so we're just trying to do what they tell us and so far its been our best garden ever! (that's only out of two years we've tried and we were completely on our own for our first garden which was a mess). You live and learn and that's why we asked for help this year.
Looks great! We haven't done a thing to our backyard other than mowing. I had plans for our front yard and flower beds, but that hasn't happened yet so I doubt it will this year anyway. Let us know how your garden turns out!
Wow! That looks so great! You are doing a great job. I seem to have a black thumb... :( Ever since we moved it's been one home improvement project at a time. Unfortunately our back yard has been negected for now. Seeing your pictures makes me excited to get it done though. :)
