Beautiful love.

Internet connections in the whole of Singapore (and most parts of Asia) have been wonky for the past couple of days due to the damaged don't-really-know-whats under the oceans since the earthquake in Taiwan. I can't be bothered sitting in front of the computer waiting for websites to load, or even stay on MSN for extended periods of time. I have a few emails to write but I ran out of patience with my gmail. I tried, in vain, to torrent the finale of The Biggest Loser -- it just wouldn't start downloading!

So I turn to, amongst other sinful activities, watching (alot of) TV instead. And what have I been busy watching since I got back to Singapore?

PROJECT SUPERSTAR 2!!!

(Well well, as if that was a surprise -- I have always loved to watch singing competitions!)

But can I just say, what an unbelievably addictive this one is?! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Project Superstar is basically a Singapore version of American Idol, but contestants sing Chinese songs and the judges do have a hand (30%) in deciding who gets through to the next round. Some people say it's boring and uninteresting, and while there is definitely some truth in the fact that competitions like these do nothing but showcase the LACK OF singing talent in our country........ the mother and I are hooked. We would discuss who sang well and who didn't, who was next to go, and even predict who would be in the finals (O_o).

Oh, and I can't decide if this is a good or bad thing, but she and I are both drooling over admiring/liking the same male contestant, who, for your info, is 23 (i.e. my age). *horror* She is... okay, WE are, so totally into his bad-boy image and she has described him as 大小统杀 (killing both young and old), but I assume she included herself in the '大' category, hehe.............. although actually the correct word should be '老' :p

So anyway, here he is!!! Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I guess at least this time I have mummy's support???!!!! ^_^

所谓男人不坏,女人不爱。Soooooooo bad boy, I like. Though I still fail to see where the attraction from my mother comes from... o_o

Off to watch some torrents before I head off to bed :>

Smoke gets in your eyes.

To the beautiful stranger at Beng Mealea on 22/12 -- I wish we'd at least spoken and I totally regret that it didn't happen, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be...

I shall just convince myself that you most probably have terrible breath, you speak with an annoying accent and your favourite TV shows include "Days Of Our Lives" and "Passions".

But thanks anyway, for the cough in response (;p) and the gorgeous smile. And a blurry pic of you for the memory.

Heaven forbid
I'll take my chance on a beautiful stranger.

Although it is a terrible shame that I will miss, of ALL weeks, the revival round of Project Superstar while I am away. But deep in my heart I have a strong feeling that my darling Daren will be back!!!! ^_^

Happy holidays everyone, (maybe) updates when I get back ;)

P.S. Flight at 0705, current time 0315, not intending to sleep, packing of luggage 97% complete. Old habits die hard!!!!!!!

I think it's amazing.

At Pacific Coffee having a nice warm cuppa!

East Coast Park!

Jacq walking along the shore

With Damo, before getting on the Luge ride at Sentosa

Me and my margarita at Cafe Iguana

Memories of the six days when Jacq was in Singapore. I was exhausted by the end of it all, because we were out every single day and only coming home late at night, but I am glad she came to visit and that we got to know each other better now that uni was over (for her at least). I have come to realise that despite our many differences, I do appreciate her for the person that she is, and we actually got along pretty well even though we never quite hung out back in Melbourne. I never told her this explicitly, but next semester I will seriously miss walking into the postgrad computer lab and seeing her already in front of a desktop, writing her thesis or typing an email, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. And coffee. Our routine Monday morning bloody 9.30 AM coffee sessions.

Jacq has since left for Japan, where she will embark on a job that will last three months... and I don't even know when we will next meet, but I guess I will be thankful enough that we went through this semester together. I wish her lots of happiness and love.

Take care, best wishes, and goodbye Jacq!! :)

Dizzy up the girl.

Apart from Sophie Marceau in "The World Is Not Enough", I have never thought highly of Bond girls... but Eva Green as Vesper Lynd stole my heart on Monday when I caught "Casino Royale" with Piggy and Jacq.

She possesses a smoky, mysterious, earthy beauty that is so fresh and unique. I LOVED her. And I just realised, both Sophie and Eva are French babes!!

Meanwhile, my friend Jacq (whom I got to know through Honours) is here in Singapore for a short visit before flying off to Japan for a job that will last three months and possibly more. I have been out everyday taking her around and visiting places I would never have gone to on a normal day. Think Indian temples, the Guan Yin temple at Bugis (which I actually really liked o_O), Geylang, and even East Coast Park! o_O

Heading to VivoCity for the first time... in a couple of hours!!!!!! ^_^

I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along.

But I'm a creep.

While the very act of baring your soul can be very cathartic, it also opens your heart to so much room for disappointment and vulnerability.

I guess I still don't regret doing so, in the larger scheme of things, but sometimes... just sometimes, I wish I hadn't put myself out there like that.

One small word
Can make me feel like running away.

Like the sun.

After secretly perving on lusting after drooling over admiring Mr. B for the past seven months or so, I decided that today I shall be brave and go up to him after the class to start a conversation -- something I'd always wanted to do since forever but never got the nerve to actually get down to it. For those of you who are not in the know, Mr. B is my super hot (gay!) fitness instructor who has been my greatest source of motivation and inspiration for the past few months, as far as keeping fit is concerned.

So anyway.

Despite my nerves, I mustered ALL my courage and told myself I had to do it today or I won't get to see him again until the bloody end of February next year *sob*. I made up a random question to ask, and although I was stuttering quite a little initially it actually went well, all things considered. Told him I was going to be away till March, and he said all that usual "Have a good holiday" and stuff. Yaaaaaaaaay \o/

I left the gym still reeling from the reality and shock of it all, but also feeling quite WTF that I'm acting like that because of a GAY man, hello???!!!

It was the most glorious way to end my final class for the year at FF nonetheless, no regrets there. Glad I decided to take my chance at the last minute :>

To Sponk, HJ and Moonface: Aren't you guys proud that I've finally done it?! ^_^

If this ain't love.

The movie I have been waiting -- no, dying to watch since the beginning of the year, is finally coming to Singapore cinemas on the 25th of January 2007 (checked the Shaw Cinemas website, ha!). I guess I will be watching it exactly one month after Cecil does in Melbourne after all, arrghhhh!!!!

I feel my toes tingling with anticipation. I mean... Brad, Cate, Gael, and Koji in ONE SINGLE MOVIE?!? That alone, is going to make the price of a weekend ticket worth every single cent ;p

And Happy 28th, Gael -- sorry I missed it o_O

And I was not the answer
So forget you ever thought it was me.
