Brayden's 1st Dance Recital

Brayden had her first dance recital last night. She was excited but a little nervous. Getting ready to go last night got a little crazy. Mike and I have both been sick, and it took longer than I had thought it would to get Brayden all ready because her hair and makeup had to be done just right. We ended up running around like crazy last minute and by the time we got to the place where the recital was going to be we realized we forgot Brayden's dance shoes! I like to blame that on us being sick and not thinking straight! Luckily Mike's parents were coming, and even though they were almost at the recital place themselves (which was almost 30 minutes away), they offered to run to our house to grab the shoes for us. They saved us! Mike's parents got there just in time for the show to start, and it turned out Brayden's act was the very first of the night! We cut it very close! At least now we should never forget Brayden's shoes again! Anyway, these videos are just small clips of the better parts of each of the dances Brayden's group did. It was funny when the girls first got on stage (not in the video clip) because they all looked like deer caught in the headlights. Everyone was laughing because it was so cute! For most of them it was the first time ever on a stage. It was good practice for them because they have a bigger performance coming up in June. Also more than half of the girls in Brayden's class weren't there, but hopefully since the next recital is a bigger deal they will all show up.
