As opposed to last year, this year January has been very cold. We have had lots of snow and a couple of ice storms. The kids have been loving it. I, on the other hand, am getting ready to start a Spring Countdown. But we have done some fun things to pass the time until the weather improves.
We tried out our new curlers (and, eventually, we took the tree down).
We took some friends ice skating.
We spent New Year's Eve with our friends, the Platts.
We went (fake) skiing at Park City (OK, so this one did not avoid the cold. It was actually 20 degrees colder in Park City!)
Our friends, the Parsons, came to visit, all the way from Connecticut! It was so fun to see them.
I went with Ryan's Scout Pack (Den? Troop?) to a field trip of the Conference Center. It is a pretty amazing building.
We went to a gymnastics meet with our friends, the Colemans. Wow! We have done a lot with friends this month!
We have also done a lot with family this month, because Nicole came to visit us from Boston. And she brought her cute baby and her cute belly.
We ganged up on the one year old in a Jedi battle.
She tried to distract us by eating the light saber. Those are some crazy Jedi skills!
Ha ha! A one year old versus a 37 year old. And the 37 year old won!
Until the 8 year old stabbed her in the belly.
And, this really doesn't have anything to do with cold, January, or fun with friends. It is just to show the torture that Dustin endures daily from our beloved offspring.
