So many final things happened in May. I finished this year of preschool. It was such a great year with wonderful families and kids. I debated and worried a lot about what to do for graduation, and in the end, I decided to just go for it! I am fully vaccinated now, and most people are that want to be, so I had my usual graduation, in person, and a potluck dinner following it. It was so much fun!

We had final track meets for Maren. She lettered and did great this year!

We had final soccer games for Ryan. He also did amazing! His team only lost one game this season. They have played together for a couple of years and it has been fun to watch them. He also tried out for competitive soccer and made a team, so now we will have a new adventure with sports.
Grant graduated from the DARE program.
And from 6th grade. He was the MC of his 6th grade graduation and did a great job. This was the last year of elementary school for Grant!
Final orchestra concert for Grant. He has played the cello all year, but decided to join the band next year, so no more orchestra around our house.

Speaking of Avery's final things, she had a lot of final things happen this month. Choir concerts, AP tests, dances, seminary graduation, high school graduation. I can't even believe this day finally came! It is so hard to imagine when they are little, but it really does go by so fast! We are proud of her and her dedication to school. She worked really hard and accomplished a lot!
Her final Prom. The school actually got to have a real live dance a couple of weeks before the end of the year. Avery went stag with some friends and they had a great time!

I took Avery for a little photo shoot in her cap and gown with some of her friends. She's been friends with these girls since elementary school. It is so fun to see them growing up! (Some of them grew more than others...)
And, finally, the big day arrived! Her graduation was held at Dee Events Center in Ogden (on a side note: Dustin designed the landscape there. And it looked very nice.). We got her there by 7:45, in time to take a few pictures and then get her in by 8 A.M. Grandma and Grandpa Shurtz were able to come be a part of it.
She graduated with high honors. We are so proud of her!
That afternoon we had a family dinner for Avery. Gramma Lana, Briana, the Hanchett's, the Haggerty's and Shaun, Bill and Pam Athey all came to support her. It was so fun to visit!
Later that night was the Senior All Night Party at the Rush Funplex. I had been asked to be in charge of the food at the party. I had a committee, which included Dustin, and it was fun to see the kids and Avery now and then. We had pizza and soda provided by the Funplex, and then we provided unlimited candy, Dole Whip, cotton candy, fruit, Gatorade and water. We got home about 5:15 A.M. and then had to return the soft serve machine by 10:00 the next morning. Needless to say, after the long week and an all nighter, we were exhausted. Avery and I proved how exhausted we were by coming down with a terrible cold a few days later.

It is so fun to watch our kids growing up! It was a great final month of school and a busy week of graduations. We are thankful for all the support of our wonderful family!
