The Things I love

Once or twice a year I like to do an inventory on my favorite things, the things I really enjoy and love. I don't know why I started doing this, its not so much a list of the things I am grateful for but more just a list of things I like. It helps me try to prioritize my free time.

Here is this years list in no particular order: (Oh and I never mention the givens, you know, family, church, etc. I feel a person goes beyond the givens)

-my sweet adorable husband-I know this is a given but its new
-a really good double cheeseburger
-the shiny pages of a fashion magazine especially Instyle
-baking in pretty shaped pans
-sexy high heels, in particular BCBGirls and Christian Louboutin
-reading
-laying in bed
-that moment right after the previews and right before your movie starts when you are so excited for the upcoming movies you've forgotten what you are there to see and then you remember and you're excited again, its also the moment the lights go completely off
-black and white photography
-Dior mascara
-The Shins new album, Wincing the Night Away
-the Elliptical
-the Food Network

New York Part 3

The City. I love the City but by the end we were tired of all the people and the expensive prices. Here are some of my favorite pictures we took on the trip.

New York Part 2

Steve and I went to so many museums. Some we're better than others but all we're memorable. Here is some of the great art and things we got to see.

Unfortunately the Guggenheim prohibited photography above the ground level but here we are inside the rotunda.

At the Met we saw lots of cool modern art, here is Steve with a Warhol and a Georgia O'Keefe, also my favorite sculpture, Brandisi's, Bird in Flight. The Met has lots of cool impressionists pieces and a great photography area but those were under construction so we couldn't see them.

The Museum of Modern Art was definately our favorite. Her are 2 Picasso's and a Chagall.

There was actually a huge swarm around the Starry Night and it had its own security guard, Go Van Gogh! More Warhol and the tree is Klimt.

New York Part 1

Steve and I had the luck of going to New York City for our honeymoon. We had so much fun and really got to see a lot of the city since we were there for nine days. Our hotel, the Hotel Pennsylvania, was located in the heart of midtown right across the street from Madison Square Garden and a couple of blocks south of Times Square. We were also right next to the subway so getting around was a piece of cake.

Our first day we spent in Brooklyn and it was so much fun. We went to the Brooklyn Museum or Art and the Botanical Garden. We saw lots of quaint tree lined streets, something right out of the Cosby Show, good pizza at Grimaldi's and a lovely sunset walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. What a great frist day.

VIVA LAS VEGAS

Steve and I went to Vegas a couple of weekends ago for a concert. Its nice to know that so close to home can be found rip off of european treasures.

Oh wait is that the Rape of the Sabine? The Giambologna masterpiece?

We also saw cool butterflies (not related to european treasures)
