Hawaii Vacation Day 6

Aaron went for a walk on the beach and watched the sunrise.

Monday morning we left early to try our luck at Shark's Cove again. There was plenty of parking, and we snagged a spot in the sand. This was great for snorkeling, but not playing in the water. We brought the sand toys for the girls to play with, but Melanie really wanted to play in the water too, and that was hard to do with all of the rocks in the way. Michelle decided to take an early nap again.

Aaron, Timothy and Amy went snorkeling. Later after I fed Allison, Aaron held her while I went snorkeling with Amy.

Michelle Melanie and David all trying to rest on the blanket in the shade of the umbrella. We packed up, rinsed off, changed clothes and headed out. We ate lunch on the drive. We'd packed a cooler bag and had leftover poke, and uncrustables, granola bars, grapes, and whatever else we'd packed. Then we stopped at Matsumoto's. Parking was limited, but it was before noon, so it didn't take long to find someone leaving, and we parked. The line wasn't very long yet. We got to choose 3 flavors each.

 Amy got bubblegum, peach and cotton candy.

 Melanie got pineapple, bubblegum, and banana

 Timothy got coconut, pineapple and papaya

 David got, pineapple, coconut and mango

 I got pina colada, guava, and strawberry.

 Aaron got lychee, pineapple and, he doesn't remember. Michelle shared with everyone.

We found a table, and enjoyed the shave ice! It was sooooooooooo (Amy said it needed more o's) good. I wish I would have gone earlier in the trip. I would have gone back a couple of times.

I fed Allison when she woke up. Once we finished our shave ice, we walked around the shops for a bit. Then we decided to try Dole Plantation again. We drove by some of the plantation on our way in and we could see them out there planting new pineapple plants! I did my make up on the way there. This time all 3 trains were running and we waited for about 20 or 30 minutes, and then we got to tour the plantation on the train. I'm glad we didn't do the garden tour. The train allowed my feet to rest, and the train had shade, and a bit of a breeze.

We did a little shopping in the gift shop and watched a pineapple cutting demonstration. On the way back we stopped by the Hukilau Marketplace at the PCC. We did some shopping. David was awed by the expensive crystal pieces in the jewelry store.

Then we went to the BYU Hawaii campus. They wandered the bookstore while I fed Allison. Then we went to the game center and bowled a couple of games. It was Family night and the whole family got to bowl for an hour for $5.

 The bumpers weren't working, so Melanie and Michelle used the ramp. I bowled with them.

 At the end of the hour, we almost finished two games.

We had dinner at the BYUH cafeteria. It was a decent deal for a buffet, and Melanie and Michelle were free.

 We drove by the temple to see it at night.

Then it was time to go back to the house. We had FHE, and then headed to bed.
