SIX MONTHS! 

Merry Christmas!

I love that Christmas consists of the holiday season, and not just the day. I love the lights, activities, and uptick of time with family. It's a beautiful way to honor Jesus and His birth. 

We took the kids to Texas Roadhouse and then to visit Erik. (We've found that food is a great way to entice them to hang out with us) ;) 

Mike did a "great" job buying me the purse I really wanted that matched the purse Dave did a "great" job getting Ash. ;) IYKYK (I'm genuinely grateful for my purse and love it) 

After opening gifts we went to the Starley's for brunch and I actually managed to take a picture. Although we missed Sarah, we were able to talk to her, which helped. I know she was missing us as well. 

It's July 5th as I finish this up (I know) but I again just want to give gratitude for my family, my Savior, and this wonderful time of year when we focus on showing love and service to others. I love you all!

Steven and Mike's mini trip to NYC

 Mike had a trip to NYC with a decent layover so he talked Steven into joining them. It was quick, but they had fun wandering around and going to Time Square. It was Steven's first time. 

Temple Square with Audrey

 Audrey has decided that she needs to be with us on staycations, so we decided to head downtown to look at the lights, full size nativities and stay at a hotel. We had a great time creating memories with Audrey. (We would have gladly brought the boys, but for some reason, they didn't want to join us.) 

Audrey's winter recital and Lindsey Stirling concert

 Audrey played Angels We Have Heard on High for her winter recital. She's learned a lot in one year, and we're glad she chooses to take piano. 

After the recital we continued the fun at the Lindsey Sterling Concert. It was AMAZING! I let Audrey have control of my phone and pretty much recorded every song. 

Guard Family Day with Starley's Mom

 Mike's mom is a legend among Mike's unit. We came for his annual family day where Lynette was once again the guest of honor. They even presented her with a plaque and wore shirts that said, "The only cougar I like is Starley's Mom". (A BYU dig for anyone that doesn't know) Audrey had fun, and Mike almost did well in the foosball tournament. 

Random November

 

I'm writing from May, and this was the "best" snowstorm of the year. We're going to have an abysmal summer water wise.
