Take one, take two, take three. . . .

So, getting a family portrait to remember the Thanksgiving holiday by wasn't an easy thing to accomplish this year! Allison tried her best to capture a shot of us, but Levi (at 18 months) didn't seem to want to cooperate much. Guess it was from all the ham and goodies he had all week! Maybe we'll have a better photo shoot during the Christmas season!

Like Father, Like Son

Oh, me! Looks like we have another Doug on our hands. Allison came across this picture over the weekend while looking in Doug's baby book. This is Doug at 18 months old - exactly the age of Levi as of this week. The similarities are quite funny! It's amazing how much Levi looks like his daddy. I'll try to post a recent picture of Levi this week so you compare for yourself!

Giddy up cowboy!

I know, I know - 2 posts in one day! What a suprise! We took our little cowboy last night to the TrunkFest at our church. He was the cutest partner out there! He wore the complete outfit with Justin ropers and all! (Daddy insisted on the boots being authentic!) And doesn't the pacifier add a great touch to the picture? Unfortunately it was bedtime and he wasn't giving it up! It was a miracle the cowboy hat was on his head for the picture! He would leave it on and then realize it was there and want it off! He actually did some trunk or treating and said "thank you" to the nice folks who braved the cool air with us to celebrate. Also, yesterday was the first day he said "Momma"!! Talking about a proud mom! I was so excited!! It was a big day for us! Now, hopefully we can relax for a few days until the weekend comes! Always something!

Cotton Pickin' Fun

Last week, Levi and I got the chance to fly to Grammy and Pa's to enjoy some time during the harvest season! It was also Levi's first time to fly on a plane! He did very well during the flight, but it was hard to keep him occupied while waiting to board! Anyway - it rained our first couple of days there which was sad but we loved the sunshine that came out to greet us on Saturday. Grammy had invited some friends over and we had a big harvest party. It came complete with a hayride, weiner roast, smores - and yes, even picking cotton! Once Aunt Sissy showed Levi how to pick it, he went at it! I was so proud of our little farmer! (So was Pa!!) He was in the middle of everything! We sure had a great time on the farm. Thanks Grammy and Pa for all you did!
