King for a Day!

In Levi's class they have a queen or king for the day! Mrs. Debbie does it alphabetically to be fair and Levi couldn't wait to get to the letter "L"!!

This is a chance for the class to get to know the king/queen and then they all draw a picture of him/her to put in a book to take home! To make the day even more special, Grammy brought Levi a happy meal for lunch! She had already planned on that day before we knew he'd be king!

Stadium Soccer Star

Soccer season is upon us again! This year is going really well for Levi! With a year behind him, he's actually enjoying it and trying his very best!

Celebrating With The Comptons

After our fun in Little Rock, we headed to see Doug's family for a quick visit. While we were there, we celebrated Lane's birthday with them! Levi helping Lane open gifts - isn't that what big brothers are for??

Travelers Game!

While in Little Rock, we also made it to a Travelers baseball game! We had a lot of fun and the boys did so well there, too! It was a banner day for them!

Little Rock Zoo

Back to our Labor Day weekend in Little Rock ~ We headed to the zoo after breakfast on Saturday! Levi was in charge in the map and off we went! It was a beautiful morning and great weather!

Our favorite animal of the zoo was the chimpanzee who was tucked underneath his blankie to get out of the sun and rest! Reminded my of my two little monkeys!

Our boys were soooo good that day! We were a little worried about them running off from us, but we all enjoyed our walk around the zoo and hanging out as a family!

Lane's Birthday Happenings

On Lane's actual birthday, we headed out of town after to school to enjoy a weekend with just the four of us! (with NO work involved!!) We went to Little Rock to take in a day at the zoo and a Travelers game. We ate at our favorite restuarant for supper, Pei Wei, to start the weekend out on a yummy note!

We took along some of his gifts so he could open them. Here he is with his Red Wolves football jersey. He can spot the Red Wolves logo anywhere!!

After gifts, dad took the boys swimming which they LOVED! Of course, they love spending time with their daddy!

And the grand finale - the cookie cake! Nothing like sugaring up your kids before bedtime, but hey - it's vacation!

Super Bee-havior!

Levi was so excited to be able to bring home the class super bee yesterday! It is a special treat for super behavior and the bee gets to spend a whole night with you!!

Mrs. Debbie sent a note home that read:

"Your child was picked today for having SUPER BEHAVIOR at school. Your child gets to bring home our stuffed bee for the night. I am so very proud of your child for following all the rules and directions. Please make sure your child returns super bee to school tomorrow."

It was so nice to have you visit our home super bee! Come again soon!

Today is Lane's 2nd Birthday! I can't believe these couple of years have flown by so fast! You are such a delight to us little guy! You have definitely grown by leaps and bounds from your first few fragile days of life!!

You are very much like dad in that you always crack us up! You just have your own way of doing things!

However, you can be pretty stubborn! You must get that from your Great Papaw Miles!

You have a big brother who adores you and you look up to him so much! We are missing our weekdays without him, but seem to fill the time somehow!!
