Please sir, may I have s'more?

S'more camping that is.

After hearing about camping for the last 22 months, I finally got to go to Lost Lake near Mt. Hood with my parents, Grandma Patty, Grandpa John, and Uncle Jack. We stayed in their regular spots, which are the best ones in the campground!

Lost Lake is known for its great view of Mt. Hood, and I agree:

Because there are bears in the forest, we brought our pet flamingo, Jim, for protection:

While I didn't see any bears, I was a bit scared by the campfire at first:

...but I was comforted by the fact that Jim's okay around the flames. I guess that's why we call him a flamingo:

I enjoyed my freedom from sippy cups:

I played with flashlights (including a laughing hippo and mooing cow):

I loved eating corn on the cob (yum, I can't wait for fresh corn from our yard!):

And I had fun just hanging out at the campsite:

I hiked:

Took longer hikes (with the necessary provisions):

Conquered the forest:

And I swam (um, waded):

Until we were so tired we decided to sit on the dock of the lake...watching the tide roll away:

At the end of every day, we slept in the tent:

And I discovered the inconvenience of the morning trek to the "bathroom"...hurry up mom!:

We ended our trip with the traditional lake photos:

Hope to see you soon Lost Lake!

P.S. Happy Birthday Grandpa Greg! I'll see you soon!
