Diversion
It is therefore with hurried typing and a half-hearted heart that I will be rushing through my work for the next 20 hours.
But, first, to blog.
---
It's been another year... a hectic one at that cho. It's certainly been a rollercoaster ride cho.
It is in that second when the rollercoaster car seems to hang over the edge of the first drop, and you see the drop right in front of you, where you experience the "one second of realisation of your GGness".
New Year's is something like that.
Thank God that in the end, after the ups and downs, the screaming, the yelling, the crying, the spilling of Coke onto everyone behind you, you still can emerge from the ride with friends and laugh, and want to ride again.
---
Having a door slam in the middle of the night
- when you're all alone, by yourself -
is a freakishly scary thing cho...

Pink goo leaking...
Head in floor now...
Tastes salty.

Hundredth
It's arbitary but I'm just surprised and grateful that it's come so far.
Wouldn't have been very possible without you guys cho.
Thank you all for your support and tags, no matter how inconsistent, fractured or crazy these previous ninety-nine posts have been!
Thank you cho!
---
Although, arguably, Blogger supports up to 500 posts a day, so I could have reached here two months earlier.
In my defense, the other 499 posts a day were lost to quantum entanglement and spurious development along undefined borders.
Right.
That didn't make any sense, didn't it.

Anthropomorphic
---
Followed a link of Steo's blog to discover VGCats, a really good comic strip.

taken from vgcats.com, credit to vgcats.com and Scott Ramsoomair
The strip that started it all xD
Ironically enough, although I enjoy the strip's odd takes on various video games (Link, Fox, Halo, Kirby series, all of which I don't even play), a main endearing feature of the comic to me are... well, the VG Cats. Who don't appear in this particular strip.
The Cats are two cute... uhm anthropomorphic cats, who walk and talk like normal people (that's what "Anthropomorphic" means, anyway.)
Although it's easy to forget they're cats, they remind us with cute cat ears and tails. Leo even has a bell around his neck. I find that the ears and tails are just adorable, and contribute greatly in showing how each character feels.
Leo, the gray cat, and Aeris, the pink one, die many times throughout the strip, decapitate / stab / otherwise kill other characters, whether as themselves or as video game chatacters, engage in fights, participate in real life scenarios (downloading games off the Net, jumping queue, rummaging in garbage) and so on.

And, engage in numerous sexual innuendos, hints, and outright sexual references. Not between themselves, they seem to prefer keeping each other as good friends. (Because you may never know when Leo will drive Aeris up the wall.)
In my opinion, the creator has done an excellent job on the art and such. Even if the strip doesn't make total sense to me, the artwork is simply admirable. The cats look so cute and the background fitting. And, the comic is good as well.
Two paws up.
---
I find Leo's description particularly fitting for me.
"Leo, enthusiastic but credulous, is typically the more foolhardy of the two cats. While he usually projects a general air of idiocy, he has shown signs of a deeper intelligence, or at least marginal quantities of common sense."

That part where a cartoonized Professor Oak yells "B**** BE TRIPPING BALLS!" is just win. xD

Minefield
So what's me to do?
Bluetooth it from him, of course.
Now I can listen to it everyday, and hear the lead vocal scream into my ear.
jack'al would probably kill me for the song's poor quality.
---
Received an sms today from an unknown phone number wishing a Merry Christmas and signing off with a familiar pseudonym I remember seeing on someone's blog. I sent back an sms wish anyway.
After a couple of back and forth smses, I found out it was jacq, from skhoo's blog. Wow, it's a small world. *commence irritating background music - It's a small world after orrr-rrhl*
Hi, jacq!
By the way, you shouldn't greet people like jacq or jack'al in this manner on a plane. You are liable to get tackled to the ground by two large officers and detained for the night, in the holding room next to the guy who commented on how he spent "a bomb".
Which leaves the question of how she got my number in the first place. oO Apparently we've met before.
---Q: What goes "cluck cluck BOOM"?
A: A chicken in a minefield.
Q: What goes "stomp stomp stomp BOOM"?
A: An elephant in a minefield.
Q: What goes "bonk - hm? - BOOM"?
A: An apple hitting Issac Newton in a minefield.
(Thanks Sis, you think of the most coherent jokes.)
Q: What goes "intensive maths lecture BOOM"?
A: The poor brains of students.
Q: What goes "heh heh - poom - AAGH"?
A: Kahhow and Ggoh.
Q: What goes "pat pat pat (fades out)"?
A: The sound of this blog's taggers walking away.

Shine
It's so reassuring to know that Christmas has evolved from Christ's birth (Christ-mas, hello.) (despite some evidence pointing to a different month altogether, but anyway.) to a big fat guy with workers all shorter than me. Seriously, what are the chances of that?
Nah, no matter what you believe, it must be comforting to know that seasons can evolve to keep up with time and all that, and cater especially to a truly false myth which has become sadly synonymous to the Christmas season.
I figured if shakugan-san could put a tirade on that, despite being a Haruhist, I could, dammit.
Anyway... Merry Christmas to all readers! xD Whether you celebrate it or not, so there. =D
May you guys be in good health and state of mind, and have a great year ahead! May you and all your loved ones prosper and be in good health, and be happy in this coming year! xD God bless y'all.

Obvious
Today, the world was saved, thanks to the incredible Captain Obvious!
The wooden benches burned as hot fire licked the wooden legs and the very ground was a-trembling, and all hope had seemed lost, when who should arrive?
It's a pigeon! No, it's too fat.
It's a Boeing-777! No, not that fat.
No, it's Captain Obvious!
With his obvious references to a famous superhero complete, Captain Obvious landed magnificently and stood in the middle of the aforementioned burning carnage, which was, obviously, still burning.
Captain Obvious surveyed the destruction with his obviously superior eyesight, scratching his finger on his obvious Obvious Chin-pad, which bore obvious marks of prior use.
Captain Obvious' hands moved to activate the Obvious Ray... no, the Obvious Beam ...or perhaps the Obvious Cannon? No, obviously, no such foe was here, but something still needed to be done about that fire.
Obviously.
With great deliberation and impeccable timing, Captain Obvious spoke, the air rippling around his mouth at his Obvious Talk:
"If you don't win this... you're a loser."
An unnatural silence fell across the field - to be replaced a second later by a mild cold wind. The cold wind turned to a cold blast, and the air whipped around our hero as he stood poised, heroic and obvious.
The cold wind wrapped itself around the flames, and the coldness of it all pierced into the heart of the fire. The fire seemed to jump and freeze (though that was obviously impossible), and quickly sizzled out of existence. The fire extinguished, the cold air became remarkably fresh, carrying to mind a slight smell of primrose and the sound of people's uncontrolled laughter.
His work done, Captain Obvious surveyed the blackened but obviously saved benches. His work here done, he nodded towards the group of huddling survivors, who had by now started cheering in awe.
He stood, legs apart, and uttered: "The headquarters of the African Union... are somewhere in Africa," the obvious means for his obvious power to obviously lift him from the ground from the obviousness fuelling his obvious powers. He snapped to attention, and blasted off from the ground in an obvious show of power, rocketing over the heads of onlookers, and was soon hidden from sight, obviously ('cause that's what happens in movies).
The people stood and watched his progress through the air with obvious bewilderment and a sort of awe, watching this obvious hero soar through the air to accomplish another, obvious, feat.
---
CY and the other seniors really, really rock. xD This is in no means meant to insult CY and the others, but y'know, honest, fun, fun.
Obviously.

I've often wondered if my smiling face is a facade or not.
I wonder no more!
It's a face.
[cue tom-cymbal crash, followed immediately by boos, yells, and throwing of tomatoes and stuff]

In those kind of cartoony cartoons which we loved to see way back when (and now), our favourite lead character would start to do something totally stupid.
Classically, our lead character would ask someone hitting away at an unexploded nuke with a comical oversized mallet if he could have "a whack at it".
Ah well, weird times call for weird things.
The following ten seconds depend on whether
1. He yells "WHAT AM I DOING?!" before hitting the bomb.
2. He whacks the bomb expertly and it sets off the National Day Celebration Fireworks.
3. Daffy Duck comes in, argues with him, snatches the mallet, and does either 1 or 2.

The unthinkable has happened... Liki's last update is later than that of Hoshino-sensei's. Right.

In case we've all not realised, we don't have the answers to everything.
Humans and science can only go so far, and so deep. We can only observe, hypothesize, and think about stuff which we don't really fully understand. We can go a hundred and sixty thousand light-years from earth, but in the end, we still have no idea how things work.
Why things work.
Ya could even say we don't know much, still.
For someone, an answer I believe you're looking for, is that an authority should not wield authority over another authority's turf.
The answer to that answer, is yes, the first authority wants to help, yes, the second authority is in (partial) control here (that explains a lot), and that changing of authority from the second to first is possible, happening, and recommended as quickly as possible. That's the way it should've been.
It all started in the Garden.
It's coming full circle.
The authority of this world, the second authority, will be judged.
I agree, you can observe things exist because of the trails. You see an invisible man passing through by the people he has moved.

I don't believe it... PW won Bridge five hearts.
Like, yay gah.
And after that, SH bid (and won) seven no trump, and proceeded to lose spectacularly.
WL: [starts bid] Uhm, one dimes.
SH: One no trump.
WL: [stares at SH] Five dimes.
SH: wth, five no trump.
At this point in time, PW and I are probably laughing already.
WL: Seven dimes!
SH: Seven no trump!
WL: Okay lah, give you.
We couldn't stop laughing for a while.

Cold
And the fan just blew another gust of cold air at me.
*scrabbles at the fan*
---
*stretch*
The db chalet was damn weird and fun lol.
Activities consisted mainly of
1. Playing Truth or DARE
2. Playing (strip) Daidi or (strip) Bridge
3. Wrestling for control of the Air Con Room
4. Kaobeing on how small the Air Con Room is
5. Burning stuff on the bbq (OMGWTFBBQ)
6. Playing RISK
7. Kaobeing about everyone's guailan actions resulting from Activity 6
8. Going to Downtown East
9. Discussing which place is more scam in Downtown East
...and so on.
Damn nice. xD And a lot of bonding (in both senses of the word) was acheived between everyone at the chalet.
---
I'm going to be taking a short break from blogging for a week. Must sleep. *zzz*

Remniscence
---
My posts have been more disjointed as of late. I wonder why?
Perhaps it's because I have too much on my mind?
Or it's just that I can't consolidate my thoughts?
Or I just write recklessly?
Yeah, I think that's it.
---
Attempting to post before all three hands passes that magical mark of twelve, where night turns into day, numbers jump, computer day settings change, and people argue whether it's the start of a new week or not.
---
Kittens are cute. They scamper around, bright and starry-eyed, padding around with inquisitive whiskers and tails. They act as they think. Please a kitten, and it'll snuggle up to you. Throw a ball - hey, what's that - and it'll chase after it. A big blue ball, what's not to be surprised?
Cats - while cute in their own rights - have a different complex. They are seen as secretive, while mantaining an outward appearance of nonchalence. Their faces are usually masks to their feelings and thoughts, and no one knows what they're really thinking.
Kittens and cats. One into the other, and each by itself.

Of what use is condemnation?
...
The deepest root of fear and stress.
"There is therefore now no condemnation..."
You don't clean yourself, and then you take a bath.
You take a bath first.
You don't expect someone not to screw up, and then you don't condemn them.
No condemnation is a wonderful, wonderful, gift.
Praise God. =D

[edit:
I'm not blaming the team.
Unfortunately, I wasn't there, so I had no idea what actually happened.
That's even worse hm? Not even there to cheer on your own people.
I'm sorry, people. I should have been there.
And no matter what, I'm frigging proud of you guys.
And this gives you more reason to own their sorry asses in the next competition.
Go guys.]
Clocks
The deciding duel.
---
I'm still pulling my hair out on the blunder on Thursday. I'm like what-the-fish.
---
Whenever I see anything vaguely Japanese, I think of Chome-san.
Except for shakugan-san; then, I'm reminded of Haruhi.
---
I always had a fascination with clocks. The old-fashioned ones, the kinds which storybooks often crapped a lot about, with weird designs trying to help young ones learn to tell time.
Last time, they only had clocks with a second hand that jerked each second that passed. Tick.
Boing. The second hand would suddenly cover one second's worth of space, with no explanation for what happened during that one second, where no movement was detected on the cold poker face of the clock.
Nowadays, they still do have those clocks, but sometimes I chance across a clock with a second hand which trails across the clock face, never ceasing, never stopping. One second, two second, it'll just glide between the numbers and give the overall impression of smooth-running, well-oiled, working like... uhm... clockwork.
Still, for both clocks, that second existed. It was... there... a minute ago. Both expressed it in their own unique way. One more detailed than the other, the other more eloquent than the first.
One may, of course, prefer one over the other. Personal preference, you see.
Do you see each second they tick? In the grand scheme of things... it's "just" a second.
But still, for both clocks, they tick on, second after second after second.
Until, of course, you pull out the batteries.

Excuse
I "copy" pics as in I take the picture from the web, and use that as a base for my drawing. So in the end, my pic looks (hopefully) the same as the original cho. I write down the URL of the pic at the bottom of my drawing, and give credit to Hoshino-sensei.
I'm attempting to move into drawing non-original characters in original pictures, i.e. I draw (mostly) from memory. One day I hope to be able to draw original characters that look good, but I'm sorry, Daniel, I'm not at your standard yet =D

Why is it that we put on a front? A façade?
Is it...
... because we want to fit in?
... because we think that's for the best?
... because we feel that's the best image to show?
... or because we're don't know what else to do?
I don't know.
But we still do it.

I found the book that would help my revision greatly!...
A month after the exams are over.

Substitution
Doubt and Trust practice is coming off much, much worse than I'd thought. The people who can play it are gay pro.
---
I remember playing this stupid game some time back with Steo - replacing words in quotes with "pants". Quotes ranging from what QY had carefully elucidated, a movie, or something utterly random were mutilated in the name of entertainment.
"I have taken the road less travelled, and that has made all the pants."
"What's the worst that could pants?"
"Luke... I am your pants..."
"Luke... wo si ni lao kor..." [kor (Hokk.) = pants]
... and so on.
Recently I happened across another article, which I shared with shakugan-san, on the The Daily WTF website (aptly at http://www.thedailywtf.com/) Most of it is programming lols which we'd probably not understand, but some are interview nightmares, dumb bosses and sheer LOLs.
One such article recently recounted the day of this employee who noticed his collegue trying hard not to laugh when his boss was giving him a hard scolding on the lack of his status report.
The trick: Replace the word "status" with "blow [work]".
"Why can't you give me a better status than that?"
"Again, this problem is caused by a lack of status!"
"If you don't give me a good status right now... I'm going to explode!"
