I suppose the only reason why I haven't posted in a long time is not because I don't have anything to talk about, it's just that I can't find out what to talk about and how to put it down in words. Some things are simply better left unsaid.---I had one of those Facebook updates - you know, the ones that say "AAA HAS INVITED YOU TO FACEBOOK. ACCEPT / DECLINE?" and since I don't actually have a Facebook, they pester me to join. And while randomly scrolling through the email, I caught sight of someone familiar under the "people you may know who are already using Facebook" section. That familiar smile, exactly how I remembered it, so much so that I could nearly hear his voice again....no I'm not gay.Just that... he disappeared pretty quickly and suddenly, and it seemed like everyone simply forgot about him. The circumstances were slightly... dubious at best, and while I was naive then I realised there were places to not tread. I didn't know if that was one of those places. So yeah. I knew his blog, I went there and read. And it was like meeting a long-lost friend across the Seine and realising that he suddenly learnt German and you no longer spoke his language.I wanted to leave an anonymous comment, but I hesitated. Should I leave my name? Would it be rude to suddenly intrude? (hey that rhymes) The tab's still open, I'm still thinking, and I'm nowhere near the answer.---And that same thing happened with jack'al. He just messaged me to talk about life (which meant that he's REALLY bored). The conversation was awkward, lie he didn't really want to speak - but ah well. I really appreciate the gesture, just that it reminds me of a time seemingly so long past....I haven't seen their faces for months, the former - years - now.---Treasure ye rose-buds relationships while ye mayOld Time is still a-flying;And that same rose that might smile todayTomorrow may be dying. And you'd wonder why you never watered it more when you could.
Hay people I found a cure for insomnia!Start up a project that you really don't want to do. Set a distant deadline, and watch the deadline inch ever so closer and closer until it's practically staring in your face, and you could pinch it in the nose.Alternatively alternativelyThen, open the document. And stare at it.You could just tell yourself "I need to work".For me, everytime I do that it's as if someone shot me at close range with a shotgun, but the ammunition's made of sleeping pills and it goes direct to my bloodstream.
The ideal procrastinator procrastinates like there's no tomorrow....and also come up with pithy one-liner maxims.---Even in my dreams I don't get enogh sleep.Dreamt that I stayed up practically the whole night during a camp just to search for my sandals, and when I founde them, the dream somehow merged to the retelling of Rumpelstiltskin in Disney-movie-style, complete with Twister-reference at the end, where the stereotypical Disney prince and princess drive a truck full of glowing stuff into a hurricane. The end was that the villian came up to them and heartily offered them a, I quote, "nice hot cup of Louis XIV coffee".And then I woke up and realised that I was only supposed to sleep for 20mins, and had slept for hours instead.---On the plus side, if Disney can pay me for this, I'll be set.Yoohoo! Disney scriptwriters! Put awesome real life references in your movie like this! You know your subconscious is screwed up when you start dreaming in Disney!
...dammit.---Anyway.Last week I got to listen to a Chinese singing powerhouse - it was apparently like opera, with a lot of "yah whooooooo" and high sustained notes (that took skill.).Apparently C didn't like the sound of it =3On that note it was an honour to work with him - he seemed much - different? - than the last time....and I have this serious fear for my ears now. At one point in time I thought they were starting to bleed.... it's a scary thought that.Being deaf isn't all cracked up as it sounds.---Geh, which probably explains why I rather not listen to music and such on the bus, even though I do have that option. (Convenient mobile phone headsets!)...yes, the first reasons is that I don't have much songs to listen to in the first place. Who wants to listen to my sms ringtone going off over and over again? It's like trying to listen to that song Environmental Noises I found on Youtube - it's odd, it's refreshing, but listen to it too many times and you'd either go deaf or accustomed or think you should get out more. But the second reason is ambient noise. It's good to hear the hustle and bustle of the street (recall that guy from the seashell poem) and well yeah. It's good to listen time to time.I've nothing against listening to music, even through headphones in the street and whatnot, but I just think sometimes its good to listen to everything else once in a while....although I've lost count of the number of times I've benefitted form someone blasting incredibly loud music into their ears nearby me I get to enjoy their pop/rock/death metal. So.. yeah, mark me down as "conflicted" on this issue.---On a related note, was at the MRT station when they suddenly had that announcement. You know, that one that would go along the lines of:*BZZHHT* *muffled voice* Attention train at Platform A not for boarding please wait for the next one thank yew *BZZHHT* *elevator music*But the funny thing was that the electronic dislay didn't change to fit the "Do not Board" message, even though it was aurally played out no less than three times, over the intercom by live and recorded people. So when the train came, the door slid right open......and a few people walked in.At first I was pretty irritated at how thick people could be but then I realised they were all wearing earphones. Ah.So they got in, sat down, and stared at the rest of us and wondered why we were not boarding. The security had to point them out of the train later on. It was awkward....but rather amusing.---AH HAH HAHRESTART BLOGGINGPROCRASTINATION
