Journey

I haven't the discipline to go on hiatus.
Neither have I the discipline to post.

It's a vicious cycle.
That I took a month to perfect.

And Blogger's formatting is still screwed up, and I'm too bored to go code it myself.

---

Today I was savagely raped greeted by a dog.
Agh, sharp claws! paws. Ow.
Luckily my shirt was made of tough material, if not I would have probably walked down the street in shredded clothes.

I now await to see how many people will miscontruct the above couple of lines. =D

---

Was looking through old photo albums yesterday.
Oh man have times changed.
As in, from old photographs of weddings and babies and little kids to really, really, really old photographs.
Most of them don't have dates. But those that do - serve as a kind of marker.

All in all, photographs are a reminder of what we had -
and what has changed.

No wonder people want to turn back the clock.

But despite everything, one must learn how to accept the present. If not, how the heck can you live?
Barring time travelling technology or the ability to live in the past, you're stuck with the here or now, like it or not. And even those two "solutions" have serious flaws (even if they were remotely possible).

[Edit: deleted]

Clinché, but each day has its own little perks. If we could only find them - we wouldn't be happy all the time, no guarantee there - but certainly you'll be able to face life, screwed-up life as it is now.

Like it or not, you're stuck here - might as well enjoy the journey, instead of moaning and griping about it to its end.

Hypothesis

Everyday I'm renewing my hypothesis that the computer - or specifically, the interwebz - is a giant time vampire out to steal your food.

... Perhaps Blogger's formatting screw-up its way to remind me to get back to work?
Hm.

Ah well. Amazing how time flies.
Awaiting Monday for once - I wonder what will happen. This will be the first time in what, four years that I'm breaking this streak.

Or perhaps maybe not.

Ah, life's uncertainties.

Good luck everybody!

[Yes I know this post makes no sense. Is it supposed to? I'm sorry, I'll be more coherent in a while.]

Bubble

Everyday I look.
And I doubt humans possess sensitivity - or heck, common sense - more and more.

Even in myself.
Too many things I regret saying.
Perhaps I should stop looking, immerse myself in a bubble of optimism.
YouTube comment threads are the second best thing
... but looking at you guys, you do restore hope.
in destroying one's belief in the possession of sensitivity
Let's be honest, we don't make sense half the time. But at least I guess we know where to not cross the line - or at least we don't cross it so often. (I myself fear I have, and if I have I apologize.)

And for that I thank you.

First post in a long time and it has to be about this? What the. =.=
Sigh. Back to work.

Auditorium

I was chatting with an old friend late last night early this morning, and the talk turned to "the good old days". As conversations usually go. It's funny how so much and so little have changed.

Anyway, we got about talking about an old photo, which I had. So I went to take it. It's one of the few hardcopy photos which I don't file away in a photo album, so I do take care of it. Somewhat. After five years, it's gotten a little faded and curled, but still the same photo.

After we talked, I took a closer look at the photo, and I realised something.

IT WAS THE SAME PLACE.

I would return to that exact same place, four years later, for a similiar purpose.
Almost exactly four years! To the month, in fact.
And from the looks of it, the almost exact same spot.

"Neh, big deal, it's a frigging spot. =.="
True, but well -
It sounds stupid, but it's quite a lot of memories.

I could say a lot of stuff, but it'll probably be taken in the wrong light, hahaha. See, how times have changed. In the past, I would have just posted that I [ --- --- --- ]. Self-censorship, ah, such a wonderful and horrible thing to have learnt.

But back to the point.
It's like, as someone once said, the pieces of Tetris all falling together. Suddenly the scenes flashe back into my mind, and although I can't remember the exact details I appreciate even more the link between my pasts.

Two different, yet not dissimiliar, aspects of my life.
Converging on the same spot.
With a gap of four years.

One aspect, the older one, is finished, sealed away, kept alive by memory and friends.
The other is still alive, and doing quite well I dare say so, thank you very much.
Two different, yet not dissimiliar, aspects of my life.

...it's not so much it is, as much as the friends you are with.

Thank you.
I just found another, creepier parallel. Whut?

Client

Well, it's over now, and I breathe a sigh of relief.

Whew~

Dammit, I'm disorientated today.

Joke

A long time ago I told someone a joke. Didn't think he had much of a sense of humour, didn't really show it - although back then I was crazy enough to tell jokes to whoever bothered to listen.

Doctor: You need glasses.
Patient: How did you know?
Doctor: You entered through the window.

His response was first of silence, then pointing to the grilled window and telling me it was impossible. "How do you come in through a window?" I remember vaguely telling him that it was just a joke and was meant to be funny.

Roughly a decade later, I realised that I still don't understand the joke.
How time flies.
He was way ahead of me.

---

I guess it's come to the point where my normal pseudonyms are inadequate.

---

Promised a short fiction piece to torture all of you with - I've actually got it planned out already. Will post it within the next week and hence fulfill my promise made who-knows-when. But honestly though, it will be fun writing this =D

And on that same note - I am now afraid to lend my computer to people.

---

Must affix everything to everything!
Staple guns: because tape just doesn't make that satisfying KACHUNK sound.

I know you're reading this! And just for that, here's the next instalment of "Songs With Words Censored Out For The Exercise Of Your Imagination". I don't profess to know so many songs but yeah, here goes.

Romeo take me somewhere we can [ --- ] alone
I'll be waiting all there's left to do is [ --- ]
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story baby just [ --- ] yes...

Song

One Rickroll link and you're marked for life. =.=

It wasn't me - although if it was, it would be pretty funny. Cheap thrill'd. Haha, sigh.

Heh, spare time now, I wonder if I should use it for work or play? Oh the choices.
Falcon Punch!
---

In random news, today at the supermarket I bought three tubes of biscuits. I thought they were on a promotion, but it turned out that it was only for a specific flavour which I didn't buy. In the end, while the cashier went to check it out, the guy behind be got pretty pissed and left to join another queue. I felt quite bad.

However, in all fairness, perhaps it would have been for the better if he had stayed there - I think he spent a longer time in the new queue. Sigh.

And, on yet another note, not only did I not get a discount, the three tubes in fact cost more then three individual tubes. Due to the rounding down of the last couple of cents, that kind of thing. Ah.

And if you think I have nothing better to do then to post up weird snippets of my life... you're kinda mistaken, but I post them up anyway. So yeah. I'm entitled to do that, ain't I?

---

In other news, for the next week I shall be putting up lyrics of songs and blanking out random words.
It's up to you to fill it in in whatever manner you deem appropriate, natural, or funny.
Unleash your imagination!

Even the best [ --- --- ] sometime
Even the wrong [ --- ] seem to [ --- ]
Out of the darkness seems to [ --- ]
I somehow find you and I [ --- ]

Apologies to Howie Day, Collide

I take it that you're familiar with the Blue Danube?

Seventeen

Bought a can of air freshener yesterday. Didn't see the brand I wanted (for familiarity's sake, neh?) so I got the cheapest one I could find. A moderately-sized can, too. My father only realised this once we passed the cashier, and was wondering what I had bought. He was mildly surprised.

And today, I was vigorously shaking the can of air freshener I bought yesterday, intending to spray it somewhere to test it out. After five seconds of adrenalin-pumping shaking, I pressed it - and a small pss issued from the can.

Cue stoning for a second or two.

I then yelled "Is that all?", pushing down harder on the button, and releasing a large ephermal cloud of lemon-scented air freshener all over my bed.

I then proceeded to happily blanket the rest of my room in air freshener, reveling in the newfound power of the spraycan, such that even through my blocked nose I could smell it strongly.

I think I'll be sleeping on the sofa tonight.

---

My parents enjoyed Seventeen Again much, much more than me.

I was never the very fashionable one, nor the very normal one, but, I don't know, this feels kinda odd.
... A combination of many factors lead to a very disturbing feeling. Right. Moving right along.

Some time from now, when I reread this blog post I will sit back and laugh.

Or cringe. Which is probably more likely to happen.
Oh no, what have I done?

Awake

It is now 03:30am and I am still alive awake.
Procrastination is a terrible, terrible thing.
...

[Edit:
On hindsight -
Never Going to Give You Up is actually quite a nice song.

If I ever get Rickrolled again, I'm actually going to listen to the song.
But I don't planned on getting Rickrolled, so I think I'll occasionally search "Rick Astley" on YouTube now and then.

Speaking of which, I got Rickrolled in public, but that does not count.

It's a pretty nice song, imho.]

Jolly

Ah well, formatting's screwed up again. Anyway...

222nd post by Blogger's reckoning. I guess that should count for something.
Nothing much to write home about it eh.

---

Tried to running tackle a rugby-playing, one-and-a-half-times-my-height, my-weight-in-muscles guy.

Swerved at the last minute, nearly ran into a plant.

---

Found a derived copy of Never Going to Give You Up piano scores. Now I can rickroll people in real life!
Speaking of which, no one's removed the Rickrolling link yet - that's cool. =D

My father doesn't believe that Rick Astley is popular among today's youth population.

I didn't have the heart to break it to him.

I Saw A Jolly Hunter

I saw a jolly hunter
With a jolly gun
Walking in the country
In the jolly sun.

In the jolly meadow
Sat a jolly hare.
Saw the jolly hunter.
Took jolly care.

Hunter jolly eager-
Sight of jolly prey.
Forgot gun pointing
Wrong jolly way.

Jolly hunter jolly head
Over heels gone.
Jolly old safety catch
Not jolly on.

Bang went the jolly gun.
Hunter jolly dead.
Jolly hare got clean away.
Jolly good, I said.

Battery

I have this ridiculously large laptop battery, and it up and dies on me.
It doesn't just die, mind you. It's rather large and bulky body still remains, but no matter how much I plead for it to come to life and rise fom the grave like some electric Frankenstein's creation are futile.
Tell me, did any of you
In essence, my battery's gone. Again.
happen to kill a Red Spy on the way?
... sigh. Makes me want to committ battery on the battery.
No?
---

Misconceptions, the lot of them.
And if you come closer I'll take this black pen and wave it tantalisingly in front of your face.
Then we still have a problem.
---

Today, I think we kind of proved that excessive sun fries brain cells.
Walked around and stoned randomly, zoning out of concentration and such. Ah.

Don't have much work to be done on the computer, thankfully, and so I shall just log off now and return to the real world now. My eyes start to burn; I think it is time to shut the computer off.

Hype

It's Tuesday!
Self-hype: Better than no hype, I suppose.

Impersonation

Ah well, hahaha.

I saw the news late last night, but I decided not to post because I wasn't really sure what to write.
All I can say is that there are no hard feelings, just the feeling of being scammed and not knowing it until it's over, heh. I guess I should have connected the dots faster, but oh well, that's just me, haha.

Now I wonder what your expression would be when I said I'd check the IP addresses! Haha. I'd never have guessed, heh. And still I didn't catch it. End of the day, I'd make a defective detective hm.

And yeah, I owe Ohlyrrad an apology, so here. And the only that I was mildly infuriated about was the, well, maligning that I maligned someone (haha punny!) but yeah, to set the record straight, it was a guess. Post hoc ergo propter hoc, my bad. ><

And after all is said and done, I'd be on my lookout for telephone scams - I think depositing half my life savings' into that friendly salesman's bank account for 50% returns suddenly doesn't look so wise anymore.

Oh well =D

---

You know, when you read other people's blogs, you get to know more about them? Like sides that you never knew existed, what exactly they do at home, etc. etc. and you look at them from a different perspective after you're through with the blogpost.

Like, for example, I know now that [---] got pissed off about a toilet roll. Not exactly a dinnertime conversation topic, but yepp. Information value - none. But interesting trivia. [---] has only come here once, I believe - and didn't even tag, haha. I wonder if he'll see this.

Or things that bring your attention to something else. Like the issue of stray birds scavenging chicken meat.

Reading through some of my old posts, I cringe. I distinctly remember writing them, but I wouldn't imagine myself now writing them now. It's a scary feeling, to look at your writing and try to deny that they're yours. How incoherent I was back then... No comment from all of you who still think I'm as incoherent as ever. I probably am.

It's like an impersonation of me - the me now and the me back then seem to be two slightly different (or vastly different) people.
Or the me now has simply learnt the art of putting up a façade on the interwebs - a skill which I arguably should have picked up long ago. Opinions are one thing - the way one expresses it is another.

---

On an entirely unrelated note, please do check
this out. It's Elmo's Youtube account, with a video of him playing the guitar and singing. Pretty good, neh?

This is a free advertisment, I don't get paid lol. And if you like it, pass it on! =D

---

And on another entirely unrelated note (definitely not directed at Elmo ot Trace).
When you are want help, you ask. Simply speak.

My advice: You don't yell, you don't scream, and you don't insult.

While this applies to practically anyone, this rule may be circumvented if you are an idiotic superior, demanding the participation of your minions, and of course, if you don't mind losing your popularity. This does not hold if you are asking people who don't owe you a shit to help you. After all that, chances are, people probably will simply not help.

This isn't even tact. This isn't even sensitivity.
This is simply common sense.

So, moral of the story? I'll leave it up to you.

---

I was walking in the city today when I nearly ran into him. As in, literally, I nearly walked into him.
He said hi. I think he recognized me. I was awed, so
I said hi back, and then we moved off in different directions.

To me, that was quite awesome. jack'al would probably laugh, but yeah, for me, that was pretty good. And hey, he goes out for late-night dinners with them - they're that familiar, and that's great for him - but for me, him saying "hi" to me was pretty awesome to me.

I guess we're all looking for recognition one way or another, hm? <=)

Insolence

How annoying.

Era

I actually had written up something else, but deleted it.
Suffice to say that it's in your hands now, and I think that you guys are the best placed for the job, so good job, congratulations, work together now, and let's see how far you can go.
To the Six: Good luck. And have fun.
---

Reading through my old posts - boy some of those made a lot of sense.
Sometime it makes me wonder why we post at all, if only to show other people our most embarassing moments.
Or perhaps its just a form of release for us?
Or a record to show how we've evolved and grown through the days and months (ha.)

Or! An excuse to not do work.

---

I resolve to buy this exaggeratedly big spray can of air freshener, and whip it out on random occassions to spray stuff with it.
Hm. That'll be fun.

And yes, yes, I get the hint.
And it's not the one on my mental state, either.
---

A lot of work to do now, but yet once again I'm favouring posting over work.
I don't even know why I do this, but I still do nonetheless.

In fact, I committed myself to another project again. I guess it just feeds my interest and forces my defunct creativity muscles to work - and also makes the world a slightly more random place.

Tag, okay?
And yeah, don't assume my identity kthx. Please, just don't.
Or else, hm? =D
Okay time to do work kthxbai.
