We cant get enough of Rodney!

We cant get enough of Jared Paul. Shawn, Kyle and I got to spend a little lunch break with Jared and Amy, and we take any oppurtunity we can to see Jared and spend a little time with him. Here is a picture of Jared with his new wheels. He recently got a new fancy wheelchair, Shawn was trying to get use to its controlers, they are pretty tricky to use. Here is Kyle, Jared, and Shawn outside the resturant, Jared was not enjoying the sun in his eyes, and for everyone who knows Jared they know that when somthing bothers his eyes he will shut them and keep them shut for a very long time.



Just some more pictures of Jared, we just love to take pictures of him, these are mostly for his mother and grandmother to see, because I know that they miss him and love him so much and just needed to see his happy face. Jared was looking good, I think he was really happy to see Kyle and he was laughing at Shawn and Kyle when they were pretending to fight eachother.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everone. Shawn and I got to spend our Easter this year at our little home in Provo with my little brother, Kyle. Kyle flew in on Saturday and is going to be spending his spring break with us! My mom sent Kyle with stuff to make Easter baskets, so we each hid eachothers baskets. Then we got to put on our matching Easter outfits (thanks also to my mother) Kyle and Sahwn had matching ties and then they matched m ydress and sweater.
The boys loved the little photo shoot that I made them go through before we went to Church that morning.
Kyle came to cuhrch with us and helped Shawn and I with our little Sunbeam class, we will take all of the help that we can get. We only ended up with 6 kids too, we usually have 8-9 each week. We learned about the ressurection and then we gave each of the kids some bunny ears and easter eggs.
The rest of the day was spent eating a yummy easter dinner together and then the boys played their video games while I read, cleaned the kitchen, and worked on some of my scrapbooking.

The BEST husband ever!

A few weeks ago I was complaining that I did not have a place to put all of my ribbon that were on spools. I made a 2 cute boxes with holes to pull all of my cut ribbion through, but again did not have a place for all of my spooled ribboon. So, just last week, Shawn brought home and surprised me with this ribbion holder that he designed and made himslef...just for me! Shawn, works for a guy named, James, where he is a litle handy man and gets to work with tools, wood, and pretty much do anything that James needs him to do (and Shawn loves his job). Well, he has been working a little later these last few days and wouuld work on this ribbon holder for me after work. I love my new ribbon holder, it is perfect...just like my husband :)

The Best Roomates EVER!

I wanted to make sure and be the first one to post on the blog, since all my roommates say that I am always the last one to arrive and do things, but not today...I am going to be the first. That and I will have some extra time since my boss is going to be taking the company jet down to Vegas to watch the BYU Basketball game at noon and will be gone the rest of the day, so I have some extra time today!

I am not going to lie, when I first met these girls my freshman year (Bethany came a year later) I did not like them, I already had other friends and I didn't need to be friends with them too. Well, one day KaLee got rid of this disgusting bug that was in our dorm room and they invited me to go with them to Costco on Halloween and now I love them. We lived together for three years and then one by one Cheryl got married, then I went on a mission, and then KaLee got married, then Bethany got married, then it was my turn to get married, and now the circle continues with the babies. As you can see from the picture Cheryl has little Alli Page who is 9 months and KaLee just three months ago had cute little Easton.

These really are the BEST girls ever. All three of them were such great examples to me during our (sometimes tough) college years. They are all such smart,amazing, and beautiful girls with strong testimonies and so many great talents. And they were all able to be married in the temple to worthy great men too and now they are starting their cute little families together and becoming the best moms.

I am so happy we were able to get together this morning since everyone has started to go their separate ways, Cheryl is California, KaLee in Wyoming, and Bethany going back to Denver for the summer (how funny that everyone went back to where they came from) I am anxious to see what the future holds for each of us, and I hope that we are always able to stay in touch!

Weekend in Richfeild, Utah

Shawn and I just got back from a very Platt filled weekend in Richfeild, Utah (which is a dinky little down in Central Utah). We drove down with, Eugene and Doreen and got to spend the night in Grandma and Grandpa Platts house, then on Saturday we all got together with about 100 other Platts to celebrate the 65th Wedding Anniversary for Grandma and Grandpa Platt. They are in their 90's and just as sweet as can be. This was my first time meeting them and Shawn had not seen them since before his mission. So, I was grateful for this chance to meet them and celebrate this special time in their lives. 65 years to be married is a very long time (what an amazing accomplishment!) I just hope that Shawn and I can be so cute and happy together like them in 65 years!
Here is Shawn and I at the luncheon (with baby Maggie) together with all of his extended family (who I did not know at all) but it was great having some of Shawn's siblings and families together with us so we could see all of them.
And Eugene (Shawn's Dad) made a huge announcement at the party....Eugene and Doreen will be getting married in July....we are so excited!!!!! Congratulations! We also got to have Eugene and Doreen spend the night with us on Saturday night and go to church with us on Sunday, we had alot fun together.
