I fell in love and bought this little smocked duck dress at a thrift store when I was a teenager and I just found it the other day when I was going through some old high school stuff. I was so excited to put it on Callie on Sunday and I still love it...even more now that it looks so cute on my sweet little blue eyed lady.

I loved her little skinny leggys showing. She has been in pants and tights all fall/winter and it was fun to put her in a dress that showed off her cute legs.

We have loved the sunshine outside
We have loved getting out all of our cute spring clothes
We have loved our visit with Grandpa Platt and Grandma Doreen
And we have loved everyday with our little Callie Ann

Emily's Surprise Bridal Shower

When Brock and his (recently engaged) fiance came out to visit us here in Oregon for Brighton's Mission farewell we decided to throw her a surprise bridal shower. It was great! A few of the women from the Nelson/Ellingson family showed up (and a surprise visit from Emily's parents) for a lovely brunch with lots of yummy food, a fun interview game with Brock, gifts, and a fun time getting to know Emily and her parents a little better.

The "almost" newest member of the Nelson Family

So this little Brother of mine found himself the perfect girl to marry. They truly are a perfect match. They dated for a bit, then she came to visit us all at Christmas and we all joined Brock and fell in love with Emily. They came out to visit a few more times then he proposed in March and we are now planning a June 23rd Wedding in Oregon. We are excited for all of the Wedding festivities to happen and cannot wait to add Emily Ann to the Nelson Family!

My Walking Woman

This crazy baby of mine started walking a few weeks ago at 9 months. Now she is even busier than before and has gotten lots more scrapes and scratches and even her first bloody nose. Poor baby is too busy for her own good...but she is so happy to be up on her feet and walking (running) all over the place. We love our walking woman

Her 3 new obsessions!

This lady has 3 new obsessions and they are:
1. going outside
2. wagon rides
3. rocks

Callie runs outside any chance she gets and goes straight to her wagon. She loves wagon rides-since we have had some nice days lately we have taken lots of laps around the house a few times a day. She also loves to collect rocks along the way and fills the wagon with them.

Easter

We had a great first Easter with our little Easter Princess! We didn't get any pictures of her in her adorable little lavender Easter dress that her Grandma Nelson made her but we did get one of her on Saturday while on her first Easter egg hunt-she loved hunting for all the colorful eggs!

Spring Break

Shawn got to have a spring break at the end of March and we loved having him home!

-We went out to dinner at the Chart House to celebrate another dental school semester down and then we went to the new Portland Temple Visitors center.
-We hiked Washington Park in Portland with Jen and Mandy Voss
-We hiked Multnomah Falls and loved it!
-Shawn and I got to go to the Temple one morning and also got to watch, "The Hunger Games" while Callie got to spend some one-on-one time with Grandma
We had a great Spring Break with Shawn and we loved spending everyday all together.
