Lucy Jane

Our sweet Lucy Jane turned 5 months last week and is such a great baby.  We are loving everything about her and seeing her little smile!

Lucy loves:
-Bath time
-Walks outside
-Rolling all over the house
-Bananas
-Her mommy
-Sleeping
-All chew toys
-Her walker

Lucy does not like:
-Being cold
-having lotion put on her face
-Anything being pulled over her head

We love our LucyLoo more and more eachday!!!!

Callie Ann

My Callie Ann is 21 months old and she is such a spunky little talker and defiantly has her daddy and grandpa wrapped around her little finger! 

Callie loves:
-outside (and sneaks out any chance she gets)
-Mickey Mouse & Friends
-Helping in the kitchen
-Chocolate Milk
-Her back pack (pakpak)
-Her tiny stuffed puppy
-Mindy Dog
-Feeding the ducks

Callie does not like:
-Sharing toys with her sister
-wearing socks
-Dirty hands

We love our CallieGirl!!!!!

Shawn

Shawn is the BEST daddy and his two little girls just adore him.  Even though he is super busy with school and literally gone all day long (Monday-Saturday) he still takes what little time he has to play with Callie and to hold and help me take care of Lucy.  Shawn is just finishing up his third term of his second year of Dental School and has 1 more term and boards and then he gets to be a third year and gets to start having his own patients and working in the clinic everyday-he cant wait!
We love Shawn and all the hard work he puts into everything he does.  The girls are so blessed to have him as such a great daddy, and I am so grateful that he is such a good husband too!

LuLee

  I am loving my little LuLee (as Callie calls her).  She is such a happy and sweet baby and loves to smile :)

She is growing so big and is getting so mobile now and is rolling from both front to back and back to front and starting to cruise around a little in her walker too!

Lucy loves to sit and observe the world around her and loves to watch her big sister do ANYTHING!  She is also starting to recognize her mommy and is the happiest when I am holding her.  She is the best sleeper and is very interested in food and gets to start her solids very soon (once we get back from our Utah/Wyoming) trip.  Lucy is also discovering that the outdoors is a great place to be and with the warm days we have been having she has enjoyed all moments outside.

 Callie has a new BFF-her cousin Porter was it for the first 18 months of her life-but someone new has stepped into that role this past Christmas and ever since.  Aunt Em-il-dee (as Callie calls her) has become the new BFF and really her new favorite person EVER!  She loves  and adores her Aunt Emily!!!  

Aunt Emily and Brock were just visiting a few weeks ago when Kyle got home from his mission and Callie never left her side the whole 4 days they were here.  I know Emily comes home to visit and relax and instead gets stuck with a spunky and adoring toddler who truly spends all her waking moments with her patient Aunt.  I will get Callie out of bed in the morning and she will ask, "Em-il-dee here?" When I tell her yes that Emily is still her she says, "ok- I go get her" and she marches upstairs to Emily's room to go and reunite with her again.  

Thankfully Aunt Emily is so sweet and kind and patient with her pint sized BFF and (hopefully) does not mind being smothered by her, but I did tell Emily that her confidence is defiantly boosted when she comes to visit because the whole time Callie is hugging her and kissing her and saying, 

"Em-il-dee so nice" ,"Em-il-dee so cute".  And when Emily is not here we talk about her everyday, get to talk to her on the phone and facetime, and Callie even remembers her Aunt Emily in all of her prayers!

We love our Aunt Emily and are so happy to have her as part of the Nelson family and I am so thankful that she is so sweet to Callie and such a great role model for her to look up to. 

Lucy's 4 month Dr Apt

 Our Little LucyLu had her 4 month Dr apt and is a very healthy and happy baby girl! 

Callie was a great helper and sat very close and helped Dr Kraft while he checked out Lucy.  Dr Kraft said he was very impressed with Lucy's strength and her neck and shoulder muscles while keeping her head up and her hand control.  She loves her tummy time and is rolling all over. 

Lucy's 4 month stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 12 oz       30%
Height: 24.5 inches         61%
Head: 42 cm                   78%

Lucy's stats are very similar to Callie's stats at the same age-skinny little thing with some height and a big head!

Nelson Family Pictures

Since we were all going to finally all be together as a family after 2 years we decided to get some family pictures.  I think they turned out great!  We have added 4 new family members since our last family picture: Callie, Lucy, Juliette, and Emily!.

Elder Nelson is HOME!!!

Elder Nelson came home on Thursday February 21st from serving 2 years in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  With Kyle coming home that marked 5 for 5 kids serving missions for my parents-a great accomplishment!  We have all been so anxious and excited to have him come home.  Brock and Emily flew home from Utah as well that same morning and were even able to meet Kyle at the actual airport gate and surprise him!  Having the whole family together for the weekend was so amazing-nothing is better than FAMILY!

Its crazy to look back at all of things that have happened to us in the last 2 years while Kyle has been gone.  I was talking to Kyle and told him that there have not been to many changes for us while he was away and then I realized that there really have ALOT of changes for us these last 2 years.  
-Shawn graduated BYU, I quit working, I had Callie, we moved to Oregon, Shawn started Dental School and almost hald way through, and we had Lucy!!!  So I think it is safe to say that a new state, new school, and 2 new babies is alot to have happen in 2 years.
