One last picture of Janet,, Rachelle, Paul, Andrea and Lauren before Adam and Andrea go! Jessica had already taken off for the return trip to Houston.

On Sunday, we celebrated the one year anniversary of Andrea and Adam's marriage. We got their wedding cake out of our fridge where Janet and I had been keeping it and thawed it out. We then had a little ceremony and they cut their cake and served it up again. It has been a good year for them.

Last Saturday, we went to Sand Hallow and had a great time boating. Here is a picture of Rachelle going into some serious waves as she handles her wake board with ease. She is doing great.

We had some really weird weather the Monday before Jessica arrived. It was 106 degrees Fahrenheit outside and it started to rain and hail! The sky was half blue and half cloudy. Rachelle ran outside when it started to rain and I helped her put the cover on the boat and after we finshed that, she just ran around crazily in the hail! It was sunny, but pouring rain and hail!

Janet was so happy to see Jessica that she just lost it completely. It was a fun surprise!

I surprised my family by secretly flying Jessica home to St. George from Houston last weekend. She was hiding in the guest room and I had Janet, Lauren and Rachelle sit down in the family room for a "surprise purchase for the family." I videotaped Jessica's entry and there were instant tears. Adam and Andrea were coming later that night to start their last weekend with us before moving to Washington, D.C. next Thursday. Adam is attending George Washington Law School for the next three years. I really wanted everyone to be together one last time.

We went to Sand Hallow Reservoir yesterday to perfect Rachelle's wake boarding. She did great! We forgot to put the camera in the boat, however, and we got no pictures of her in the water, but we took this one of her after we pulled the boat out of the water and we were putting things away. Rachelle got up easily every time and is really getting the hang of this new technique. She said, "Thanks, Dad, for getting this great new tower. It makes it so much easier to get out of the water."

Well, Lauren is at it again! She is performing as a doo-wop girl in the Tuachan Summer Theatre Institute's "Little Shop of Horrors." This Summer Institute brings the best high school talent in Utah together. She plays "Chiffon" and is having a blast. This picture shows her on the right. "Ronnette"(played by Chloe Wood) is on the middle and is from Alta High in Sandy. On the left is "Crystal" (played by Ronnie Anderson) from Kamas, Utah. They have the cutest costumes. They do a singing narration (ala "Supreme's" style) with choreography as the play goes along and are in nearly every scene. These three girls do a great job and basically steal the show! The upper picture is of Lauren's older sister on the right and Lauren's friend Chelsea on the left.

Independence Day with the Rok Dox

We opened for the Drifters on Main Street. We had a good crowd. Our front man, John Miner, did a great job. There were five of us playing, but you can only see Paul on guitar, our frontman, John and Larry on keyboards. In this picture, Steve, our bass player is hidden by John and as usual, the drummer, John Davis, is hidden in the background somewhere behind the equipment.
