dates and weights

I am feeling super blessed as I type this. Life is just good...I'm still itching for sunshine and spring but our day to day routine is good and I am not taking it for granted. My babies are healthy, school is good, work is good, I'm just happy with all of the little things in life right now...♥

The one bummer since last time I posted was this :( The other driver just ran straight through his stop sign. So thankful I saw him and realized he was not slowing down when I did and was able to slam on brakes, or he could have possibly t-boned us.
We have our last basketball game tomorrow and then next Saturday is opening day for baseball. Easton is doing a good job so far! Especially being in 1st grade and how the age groups work, he has some 3rd graders he plays with and against this year. Pop is out on the mound pitching to all the kids and it is pretty cool to watch.
Sweet Emmy...counting down until April when she can start gymnastics. I am so excited for her to finally have her own activity too.
Emerson and Drake went to a daddy-daughter dance and it was the cutest thing ever! She was able to understand a little more this year and enjoyed getting ready for her date :)

They both said it was fun. Emerson's little dabs of mascara we put on her were running down her cheeks when we went to pick them up. "I want more dance with daddy!" That girl LOVES to dance!

While they were hanging...I had a date with my boy ♥ He wanted to go bowling and Chick-Fil-A. It was a good night for everyone.

We finally had our crossfit competition. I had no idea what to expect and my nerves were going crazy! It was 4 workouts throughout the day. We did really good and after 3 workouts were sitting in 2nd place!

Then it was time for the final workout, which was also a surprise and the one we couldn't practice at all. Thrusters and burpees. Everything all day was synchronized, so that was hard because there was no break. So...I gave everything I had left, but top 3 slipped out of our hands and we finished 4th overall. It was a bummer since the top 3 get called up for the podium and win prizes. It does make me want to do another one with Drake in the future. We will get it next time! :)

{Sunday at the beach}

 {3 day weekend meant Monday in Foley. Easton's favorite part was Buc-ees...yes a gas station. We went to the outlets and ate at Lambert's for the first time.}

Happy Friday!!

Bye Bye January

Happy February! January always seems like a slow month...I just start to get the itch for the warmer weather and longer days to come. But, in the meantime we did our best packing in fun on these cold, mostly cloudy days :)

Easton is halfway done with basketball now and is about to start baseball. I have to keep correcting myself because I am quick to say t-ball :( I keep forgetting he is in coach pitch this season. Him and the other couple frozen kids on his team got together last week to throw and hit a little.
Easton had a field trip to the zoo this month. It was freezing! He had fun checking out the animals and running around with some friends.

My loves ♥

We continue to be so proud of Easton's school work! This semester his reading tests move from questions/answers being read aloud by the teacher to reading and answering everything on a 40 question comprehension test each week independently. He brought home all As on his report card again...which means Chuckie Cheese trip!

Both kids had a good dentist check up!
We went to the train museum...
pet store...
 and on a bear hunt :)

Ready for February! xoxo
