After MUCH debate, we have decided to put our home up for sale.  I have not yet listed it with a Realtor, but will in the next week or so.  I wanted to post it here first, to give anyone an opportunity to pass this on to friends.  If you know anyone interested feel free to send them the link to this post, and let me know.  If they let me know before I list it with a Realtor we can BOTH avoid Realtor fees.

Don't kiss me anymore Mom!

"Don't kiss my anymore Mom!"  That is what Xander proclaims to me every night when I tuck him into bed.  Who gave him permission to grow-up and quit liking kisses.  I cannot believe my baby has already grown into the yucky kisses phase.  He is only 3 1/2.  Sigh.

Note:  I still have to kiss his Jiminy Cricket doll (action figure), his Mickey doll (action figure), his Goofy doll (action figure), his Pluto doll (action figure), his Buzz doll (action figure) AND his Mickey juice, but for crying out loud he will not let me give him kisses.  Sob.

Backyard Camping, Jareds Birthday week, and playing at Grandma's

Having Jared home has been really fun.  He had the great idea to take Xander outside and have the two of them sleep in the tent in the backyard.  Xander LOVED IT!!!!  It even started raining, and they didn't come in because they were having too much fun.  

They enjoyed it so much they are sleeping outside again tonight.  Ahh, the house to myself...

Then it was Jared's birthday week last week.  He turned the BIG 3-0.  That's right, thirty!  But since we are still unemployed we kept it low-key.  He got hot pads for his birthday (I promise it was his idea.  He really wanted them).

But I really couldn't give him just hot pads, so on Saturday I threw him a surprise party.  We had his best friend from High School (Colby) come, with his wife and kids, and a bunch of my family.  It was fun.

Westin was awesome and made balloon animals for people.  My Aunt Joyce got Snow White:

Austin and Xander were in the same shirt, talk about confusing, I kept getting them mixed up.

Then this week Isaac and Jenny are in town.  So we went to Grandma's house to play with them for a little while.  Xander LOVED playing with his cousins.
My mom flood irrigates her lawn, so it leaves this HUGE fun puddle to play in.

It has been a very busy fun few weeks for us.  Thanks to all who came and played!

Happy 30th Birthday Jared!

To my husband of over 8 years.  Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and father.  I am so lucky to have you.  I have enjoyed having you home more these past few months, and appreciate all the hard work you do for me and Xander.  You are the best!  Love always, Heidi

Why my neighbors are AWESOME!

So I mentioned in an earlier post that I love my neighbors (even Clark).  But I have to give a super shout-out to my neighbor KaeLynn Blair who lives across the street from me.  

Yesterday KaeLynn shows up at my door step with two huge backs of food (mostly meats) for me and my family.  I was caught so off-guard, I didn't even know what to do.  I was completely stunned.  It was such an amazingly thoughtful gift.  She said she really wanted to do something to help us, and that was the only thing she could think of.

Thank you KaeLynn!  You are such an amazing person, and neighbor.  I am lucky to have you as my friend!
