Fall was definitely full of politics! I mentioned going to a Romney campaign in a previous post, but living in a swing state you get LOTS of those, so we went to a couple more. First, Romney and Ryan were at a campaign at Red Rocks. And... we didn't get in. We had tickets, but didn't get there in time. And by in time, I mean several, several hours in advance. We knew we were in trouble when the freeway was stopped several miles away. But we still tried. We drove to the town or Morrison kind of a back way, and parked 3 miles away. Then we started the hike up to Red Rocks. As you can see, many other people were also making this hike. (This picture was taken after a couple miles of already hiking).
We made it to the top and it was obviously full. However... we were lucky to be standing on the road where the motorcade came through, so we saw Ryan and Romney, who were about 10 feet from us.

A week or two later there was another rally, so we went. Luckily it was in a bigger venue (held 19,000), so we got in fine, and had a fun time. Alabama opened for Romney, so that was lots of fun as well. Two days later was the election, and although he didn't win, it was still exciting to see him a few different times. We are so glad the election is now over though. The insane amount of ads and commercials are finally done!!
It was time to go home for Thanksgiving!!! We spent the week hanging out with my family and also with Mike's. His parents were in town for a bit, so it was nice to be able to see both of the families. Thanksgiving itself was great, as it always is. Delicious food and great company!
It was time for some family pictures, so we went outside and had quite a bit of fun! I'm glad we have these pictures to cherish.

Good thing Christmas is coming soon, because we sure love when we get to go home!
